This 2010 Jetta TDI Turbo Diesel will be sold with a NY salvage title. It was being serviced at a local VW dealer when it got involved in a accident.Dont know why they gave it a salvage title since the damage was minimal.My guess is to avoid future liability issues .I still have the old fender and hood which could have been repaired but I dont like bondo .The car has since been properly repaired. I only had to replace the left fender and the hood .The Bumper ,right fender and airbags are original to the car.It wasnt such a big deal and no frame damage was reported.The paint is nice and glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. The paint shines like glass and you can see your reflection in it.There is no prior collision damage evident on this vehicle and the paint is original.Overall, this vehicle's exterior is very clean and shiney as would be expected with every day normal use .The Diesel 2.0 TDI engine on this vehicle is running properly and has a smooth shifting 6 speed manual transmission. This Jetta has an immaculate clean dry interior. Absolutely no rips, odors or abuse. The seats are in exellent condition and the leather is supple firm and clean. The steering wheel control buttons all work correctly allowing you to operate the radio and other options.All the power options Windows,sunroof,door locks,lights buttons and switch's work as they should.The A/C and climate control works aswell .Every button and switch works as should just check my video.There is approximately 75% of the tire tread remaining on the tires .The spare is in the tire trunk well along with the service tools the car came with from the factory.The car steers straight with out you having to hold the steering wheel The brakes and suspension work great without any abnormal sounds.All major service is up to date.It was serviced at the VW dealer 500 miles ago with 29,900 miles. I brought this car with the intentions of keeping it for a while and have driven it a few hundred miles .The car averages about 42mpg and Starts Runs and Drives great .You can jump in this car and drive it across country without fear of any major break down issues. VW agrees to halt next-gen rally car development to help others stay in WRC
Sat, 22 Jun 2013Volkswagen has petitioned the FIA to hold on to the current specifications for cars in the World Rally Championship, according to Autosport.com. The move is evidently an effort to keep as many competitors in the sport as possible, despite the fact that using the current spec racers may actually hurt Volkswagen's chances at winning. The three factory teams currently competing in the WRC are at the end of a three-year homologation cycle at the end of 2013, and new cars are expected to bow next year. But developing new racers could cost as much as $4.7 million.
That price tag would put M-Sport (which fields Ford racers) out of the WRC game for 2014 and would put Citroën participation in question as well. VW has already begun work on the next iteration of its Polo R WRC, and the hatch has nabbed four wins in six rounds this season. Now it appears that car won't bow until at least 2015. The FIA has officially agreed to freeze homologation of new WRC cars until the end of next season.

VW promises 7-seat CUV for America in 2016
Mon, 13 Jan 2014On the eve of the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn has confirmed the imminent arrival of a new crossover. The model, previewed at the same show last year by the CrossBlue concept pictured here, will be unique to the North American market when it arrives here in 2016. The new three-row, seven-seat crossover is part of an ambitious expansion plan on the part of Volkswagen and Audi in North America, where the two brands aim to sell a million vehicles by 2018.
That's a mighty big increase over the 600,000 vehicles which the Volkswagen Group sold here last year, but it's moving in the right direction: That number is already a 100-percent increase of what it sold here just five years ago. At that rate, VW should have little trouble meeting its goals, particularly with the arrival of the new crossover and the introduction of Golf production at its assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico.
