Up for sale is our 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. FJ’s are our specialty and no part of this car was overlooked
in this complete restoration. From start to finish, most of the process was completed in house by our expert
technicians. The upholstery and powder coating were the only aspects of this project that we hired out to other
professionals.
This car is mostly all original, there are some new parts and components but our preference was to restore over
replace whenever possible. This car was finished less than a month ago with minimal drive time since then.

The rear half of the tub was entirely rebuilt with new rocker panels, quarter panels, wheel wells, bed and sill
channel. The frame, axle tubes, skid plates, roll bar, and spare tire carrier have all been media blasted and
powder coated. The entire body was media blasted and painted in Freeborn Red. Rubberized coating, similar to
spray on bed liner, applied to entire under side of body.
54,2xx original miles verified with almost complete service records. All new custom built exhaust system. Engine
rebuilt with all new gasket and seal kit. All new cooling system; radiator, hoses and water pump. Original
carburetor, completely overhauled.
All new brake system with nickel/copper brake lines. Steering system was completely gone through with new tie rod
ends and knuckle seals. New HFS springs and shocks with 4” lift. 30X9.5R15 Hercules Terra Trac ATII tires on
American Racing wheels.
We went to great lengths to use as much original hardware as possible to keep the original look with Toyota’s
unique stamped bolt heads. All original hardware was cleaned, stripped and electroplated with a zinc/cadmium
plating.
Interior is mostly original with the exception of the floor mats, shifter boots and door panels. Seats have been
reupholstered and restored to original factory condition. New headliner with expert installation, not a wrinkle or
fold to be found! All dash components are original. All original glass with new glass seals. New weather strips
and seals around all body seams and doors.
Electrical system is mostly all original as well. The rear wiring harness is all new and custom made. The front
wiring harness has been repaired where needed and completely inspected, cleaned, tested and rewrapped for a factory
like fit and finish.
Car has clean Colorado title. Will come with all available service records and paint codes. Car will be sold in
as-is condition, no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible all shipping arrangements and costs.

Stellantis and Toyota expand partnership with large commercial van

Tue, May 31 2022

Stellantis said on Monday it would expand its partnership with Toyota Motor Europe (TME) with a new large commercial van, including an electric version. Stellantis will supply TME, a unit of Japan's Toyota Motor Corp, with the new vehicle for sale in Europe under the Toyota brand, it said. The van will be produced at Stellantis plants in Gliwice, Poland, and Atessa, Italy. "Planned for mid-2024, the new large-size commercial van marks TME's first entry into the large-size commercial vehicle segment," Stellantis added in a statement. The deal widens the partnership between the two companies and allows a better optimization of Stellantis' Atessa plant, which currently makes large vans sold under the Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat marques. "It represents an important addition and completes our light commercial line-up for Toyota's European customers," Stellantis said. Paris-listed shares in Stellantis were up 1.6% by 0941 GMT. Carmakers have increasingly been agreeing cross-manufacturing deals to reduce costs in vans, which due to a boom in parcel delivery are seeing large demand — and where electric vehicle versions are also seeing rising sales to carry out "last-mile" deliveries in city centers. In other news, we talk about GM offering $7,500 incentives for EVs that lost their tax credits, another possible calendar change for the Detroit Auto Show and Stellantis potentially scaling back its auto show presence. Greg spent his winter break with the Genesis GV60 and Polestar 2, while John has been driving the Toyota Prius Prime and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. Finally, they take to Reddit for this week's Spend My Money question, and pick a sedan under $6,000. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Eiji Toyoda dead at 100

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Toyota has had number of chiefs over its 76-year history, but none ever served as long as Eiji Toyoda. The younger cousin of the company's founder served as president of the automaker from 1967 to 1982 and as chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation for another ten years following the unification of the manufacturing and sales divisions.
During his 25 years at the helm, Eiji Toyoda (pictured above in 1967) was credited with establishing the company's headquarters in Toyota City, spearheading the development of the Prius, expanding production overseas for the first time, launching the Lexus brand and turning Toyota from a minor player into one of the largest automakers in the world.
Even after his retirement in 1992, he remained an honorary chairman and close advisor to his successors, and chaired the company's museum. He died of heart failure, ending a 100-year life that started on September 12, 1913, before the company that bore his family's name (albeit slightly modified) had even started building automatic looms, let alone automobiles. We extend our condolences to the Toyoda family and our congratulations on an accomplished life.
