Berea Automotive is one of the few honest shops still around town. I recently had a problem with the A/C not working in my 2001 VW Jetta. After dealing with another shop in Greenville who completely ripped me off in terms of the ?ˆ?services?ˆ™ they provided and the costs I had to pay, I took my car to Berea Automotive. They performed their standard diagnosis (checking for leaks, freon level, etc.) and determined that ... view moreone of the control units was not sending a correct signal. After waiting for this part to be shipped and installed, they determined that this part did not fix the issue. Instead of charging me for this part (like most shops would), they regretfully told me that they could not fix the issue and recommended another reputable shop in the upstate that specializes in VWs. Berea Automotive didn?ˆ™t even charge me the standard diagnostic fee which I was willing to pay! All said and done, the shop they recommended was able to quickly fix the issue (bad fuse box on top of the battery). Afterwards, I found out after talking with one of the managers at Berea Automotive that the tech told him that he checked this fuse box and determined that it was okay. Berea Automotive took care of this situation such that it wouldn?ˆ™t happen again. I?ˆ™m glad that I?ˆ™ve finally found a shop that I can trust with any future problems I may have with my car.
