I had my Chrysler Van towed to...

I had my Chrysler Van towed to Coe Brothers Garage when it wouldn`t start. My lights and other power in the vehicle seemed to be working so I thought that the starter may need to be replaced. I got a labor quote for replacing the starter. Once the van arrived, after a quick check with the meter it turned out hat the battery was just bad. The mechanic Steve spent about 15 minutes checking out the problem and replacing... view more the battery (I puchased a battery seperately). He proceeded to charge me $60.00 for this 15 minutes of labor. After leaving, I contacted the owner Beatty Coe who told me the labor rate was $70.00 per hour but their was a "Lift Charge" for putting any vehicle up on the lift. A battery check does not require putting the van up on the lift. He would not agree to any adjustment in the charge and told me that I was more than welcome to take him to court because he always wins any case under $100.00. He seems to have it all figured out on how to severely overcharge and get away with it. He was unprofessional and total uncaring!
