HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I DO NOT FOR A MINUTE BELIEVE THE ABOVE REVIEW THAT TALKS ABOUT THE STARTER, LEAKS, BREAKS, IDLER ARM, FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS TO BE TRUE; AS I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP RECENTLY AND HIS PRICES WERE VERY FAIR AND HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT WHAT NEEDED OR DIDNT NEED TO BE DONE TO DRIVE SAFELY. HE EVEN WAIVED THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE FOR ME AND SPENT A COUPLE HOURS FIGURING OUT WHY MY TRANSMISSION FAI... view moreLED. I CHECKED AROUND AND SPOKE TO OTHER TRANSMISSION SHOPS BOTH IN AND OUT OF NC AND AREA AND FOUND HIS DIAGNOSIS TO BE CORRECT BUT HIS LABOR WAS WAY CHEAPER TO PUT IN A REBUILT TRANSMISSION THAN ANY OTHER SHOP I DELT WITH. ALSO HE AGREED TO LET ME PAY FOR STORAGE UNTIL I WAS FINANCIALLY ABLE TO DO SO AND DECIDED THAT I WAS GOING TO SELL VEHICLE FOR PARTS (AS HE RECOMMENDED I DO EVEN THOUGH HE WAS LOOSING OUT ON A $4000 JOB!!!!! I WAS AMAZED AT THE ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEDGE HE HAD ABOUT TRANSMISSIONS OF ALL KINDS, RIGHT DOWN TO THE FACTORY UPDATES FOR MY VEHICLE AND OTHER EXAMPLES HE GAVE FOR TRANSMISSION RELATED FAILURES THAT WERE A RESULT OF POOR DESIGN (NOT MY VEHICLE). THE GUY IS A GENIUS WHEN IT COMES TO TRANSMISSIONS AND 4X4 ETC.

Run Away!

Run away! We are in financial hardships and so were the owners of this shop, so drove our vehicle an hour one way to give them the business (2/27/09). Vehicle was missing, transmission leaked and the starter was not working. Got a call, found the leak, how much did I want to spend to find the missing issue and the starter was fine. But...also needed idler arms ($158) and front brake job ($300) or the vehicle woul... view mored not pass inspection. On the day was on the way to pick up, get a call that another leak was found and now the starter was not working. Drove an hour for nothing. Fixed the two leaks, replaced the idler arms and alignment for $700. Three days later broke down in the middle of no where and took three hours to get home. New shop hooks up vehicle to computer and finds coil and module were bad. Precision never put the car on the computer. Oh, by they way, did not replace breaks and car still passed inspection. I wonder if I really needed to replace the idler arms?

the very best anywhere

I was new to town, and a woman, and you would think I would be a prime target for unsavory mechanics looking to make a buck, and nothing could be further from the truth. The owner always takes the time to show me maintenance on my car, such as finding the brake fluid and correctly checking my oil, and he always talks to me straight about what`s wrong with my car. One time, I had to have a compressor replaced on my ... view moreair conditioner and he let me know about all of my options and got me out about 200 dollars cheaper than my old mechanic in Charlotte, NC. And that`s just one time there! Sincerely and truly the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic.

Highly recommended

They knew what was wrong with my car right away and were friendly and willing to answer my questions. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone needing to have their car fixed.

Not a good experience

I brought my car in to this shop to be repaired. I was not happy with the service I received, especially when I had to spend as much as I did. The place was very dirty and didn`t seem to be very professional. Next time I have a problem, I will go somewhere else. I found out later that other garages charged much less for the same work.
