Great Service

We`ve been using 55 Auto for a good while now and have always found them to be fairly priced and honest. With other shops, I usually remove all personal items from my vehicle when I take it in for service but I trust 55 Auto so much that I don`t feel the need to that. I took my vehicle in today for an oil change and even though they seemed to be busy, it was ready very quickly.

Excellent service!

I have been a satisfied customer of 55 Automotive for several years. Mr. White has a great business with fair pricing. He has never ""steered"" me wrong with my Camry. I will continue to drive to Apex for auto maintenance as long as he is in business.

Honest and Experienced Mechanic

I have been a customer of 55 Automotive since the year Stuart White opened his shop and have always been impressed with his customer service and ability to diagnose and repair my car. He is extremely knowledgeable and does not try to do unnecessary work. My husband and I have been so relieved to find a mechanic who is so skilled and trustworthy that we have referred him to many of our friends and family. I don?t understand why people continue to go the big dealerships when 55 Automotive is an option.

When one of my friends took their car to a major dealership because he was having problems with the starter, the dealership wanted to put a new starter in the car (a cost of hundreds of dollars). I suggested he take his car to 55 Automotive for a second opinion. As it turned out, the problem was just a lose connection. Sure, Stuart could have agreed the car needed a new starter, but instead he made the repair and saved my friend a lot of money. If you?re looking for a mechanic, I highly recommend giving 55 Automotive a try!!!!

For 4 years -very trustworthy AND saved me MONEY multiple times

This owner (Stuart White) is very honest, and will always tell us when we do NOT absolutely have to do something right this moment. We have had several cars worked on there for 4 years.
We took our business there at first because two different places in Cary tried to charge us over 1100 dollars to have some front end work done on our SUV.
Stuart checked it out and said ""you don`t have to have this done now, ... view moreit is not dangerous, and I will do it for 650.00, IF you want it done now--or you could bring it back later for same approximate price.""
No problems with a conservative approach. .....because why spend money you do not need to spend.
We like them very much and my car is there today in fact. I think if you are polite and knowledgeable with them, they will return the favor.

At the very best they are careless and their diagnostics not reliable...(read on)

I took my car for a window work. I was thinking it needed to replace the motor. They say no, they had my car for a day and told me that everything was fine (after charging me more than $100) I drove my car out and did not work. I called to complain, and they did not care. Very friendly indeed, until they take your money.
At the same time I also had it in for an oil change. After picking it up I noticed that the li... view moreght on the dash said the car still needs oil change. (even if all they did was forget to reset the light -as they claimed - ) this shows the amount of care they put in their customers and on their customer`s car.
Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else. It is definitely not worth the time (much less the money)

Really Bad Service

I took my car in for routine maintenance to get the radiator flushed. When I picked up my car the water pump was broken. I felt like they saw me as a single woman who wouldn`t know the difference and would go ahead and get the larger repair. I`m no expert but if the water pump was working fine before going in there, they must have done something to break it. Instead when I picked my car up they totally ignored me, turned their backs on me like I wasn`t even there. They didn`t even try to work with me.

Exceptional Service!!!

Stuart & his staff were so friendly and helpful. They diagnosed my problem and fixed it quickly and inexpensively. The waiting room was clean & comfortable. It is within walking distance of several shops & restaurants in dowtown Apex. I highly recommend 55 Automotive to anyone!
