Be on your Guard with North County Ford
We have taken our Fords (Expedition, F350, Mustang) to No. Co. Ford, Heller Ford in Escondido and another in Carlsbad. No. Co. Ford is the worst of the 3 but we relent and go there from time to time because we live so close. We spent $2K+ for the 2000 Expedition in Dec 2011 and then in early April is was running rough so we took it back since we got an e-mail offer of 15% and a free oil change. Man did they take ad... view morevantage of getting us in there! Estimate with 15% discount was $3200! They put everything except the kitchen sink into their estimate (did all that really go wrong since December and a few hundred miles?). I decided to just get rid of it. Sold it for $500 to a repair shop/car seller. But it cost me $150 for the analysis at Ford.
In 2006 we bought a F350 from them and we were assured that we would get a certain trade-in value for our 1998 Expedition (a real beauty). When we got to the final financial transaction, they backed off their original estimate. My husband had a fit and was ready to leave when they relented. The trade-in wasn`t that much to begin with. No wonder car dealers traditionally have a bad reputation.
Anyway, watch your wallet as with a lot of dealers and repair shops.

Thank you North County Ford!
I took my Taurus to North County Ford for an engine noise after trying another dealership. They were able to fix the problem for less money and the customer service was great. I recommend them and appreciate the great way I was treated.

Never had an issue
North County Ford`s service department has always treated me and my Mustang right. Their approach has always been very professional and they have always been very straight shooters. Their work is top notch and I can`t say enough about their service professionals (yes Rich, I am talking about you!). They find ways to work WITH you!

I use them because they are closest to my work (free courtesy shuttle drop of... view moref and pick up), but even if they weren`t, I`d go out of my way to use them.

If you want top notch service from a team that knows your Ford the best - I`d highly recommend North County Ford.

Go someplace else!
What an incompetent, disorganized service department. My ""service"" manager couldn`t get my name right after 5 attempts, then when I scheduled an appointment for the next day, the service department was completely disorganized. My ""service"" manager was too busy to check my car in, I had to go find someone. When I asked why it was so disorganized the service person said they had more cars show up for service than n... view moreormal. Of course I asked, ""then why are you scheduling appointments when you obviously can`t handle the load?"" No apologies from anyone, no one in charge, I get the opposite treatment when I go to the Toyota dealership. No wonder American car manufacturers can`t compete with the Japanese, no only are their cars made better, but their service is better.

2009 Ford Flex Purchase
I puchased a 2009 Flex at North County Ford and had a good experience even though we turned in our lease early. They worked with the lease company and gave us a great deal. I purchased wheels and a spoiler also. My salesperson always says hi when I return for service. They even have a cafe on site. Nice!

BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER
bought a used truck from them which was apparently ""certified"" which they lied and the truck had TONS OF PROBLEMS SO WE got nothing but lies. the dealership did nothing, claiming it was our fault. and on top of that the general manager ""gary"" was rude as could be. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS ITS NOT EVEN WORTH IT!!!!!!

GREAT EXPERIENCE - WE`VE PURCHASED 3 DIFFERENT CARS
We purchased our last three cars from North County Ford and have nothing but rave reviews for this dealership. ""RC"" is a courteous professional that makes buying a car a pleasant and easy experience. We also get our cars serviced there and have had great experiences every time. This dealership is the most customer service oriented dealerships we have ever dealt with and that`s why we keep returning. Thank you N... view moreorth County Ford!

Used to be a good place for service
Service Dept did not replace oil filter cap after routine Oil & Filter Change. I discovered the error when I returned home. They did arrange to have the cap dropped off later in the day. They sold me 3 New Tires that had a production date of 2004, which is nearing Fords recommended service age for tires, and 1 with a production date of 2008. Although the tires were same size & make, the tire pressure requirements ... view morewere different in the older tires (41 PSI) vs 51 PSI in the newer tire. When I questioned my service adviser about the different tire pressure, she said it was no big deal. Ultimately, I paid the installation & mounting costs to have the tires replaced with newer tires....I don`t think I should have had to pay this cost!! When I spoke to the Service Manager, he acknowledged the tires were ""older than dirt"", but did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience, nor the Service Dept lack of quality control. Courtesy wash is a quick rinse and wipe with a towel at best, I often arrive to pick up my vehicle, only to find the Courtesy Wash was not performed (even though I requested it at the time of write-up).

buyer beware
Do not buy from this dealer. I bought a "certified" used ford contour svt from here, 2 weeks later the tranny went out. I had purchased an extended warranty through the dealer so I figured I was covered right? Wrong. I called the warranty company and they said it was an existing problem and to take it back to the dealer, the dealer said the 3 month 3,000 mile warranty was voided because I purchased an extended warran... view morety. So after 2 months of back and fourth with the warranty co. and north county ford I shelled out the $3,000 for a new tranny. They do not care about the customer, just closing the deal. So if your prepared to deal with any unforseen issues without having the dealer stand behind thier product then go ahead and buy from here.
