Porsche 944 Turbo S on 2040-cars

I am sad to see this car go as it has much sentimental value to me (drove off on my honeymoon with it, got me through 5 yrs of school, etc.) As such, I do not wish to see it taken apart and sold for parts. It has seen better days, but would be an excellent project car to restore or make a nice street/track car out of, or even to put an LS engine in.
The good:
Velvet Red 1989 turbo (which replaced the 944 turbo S and adopted the turbo S specs)
- adjustable Konis with adjustable spring perches in front to adjust ride height
- AOR trans with limited-slip differential and cooling loop
- 928S4 brakes and I added the factory 928 bias valve not normally found on this model
- new front and rear rotors, new Hawk HP+ pads front and rear
- 146,xxx miles on engine, but rebuilt head, H2O pump, belts, etc ~30k mi ago
- 968 rear hatch (stock one included)
- new front wheel bearings
- Weltmeister anti-sway bars
- KLA strut brace and cabin filters
- rebuilt throttle-body seals
- new throttle position sensor
- Vitesse chips
- Tial 38mm wastegate
- Siemens 55lb injectors (stock included)
- 3 bar fuel pressure regulator
- Bursch test pipe (stock included)
- SFR stage 1 stainless steel headers
- recent paint job
- newly rebuilt A-arms with aluminum bushings which will last a lifetime
- 968 caster blocks
- H4 euro spec headlights
- Accuboost manual boost controller with ceramic ball upgrade
- new battery
- fiberglass brake ducts which force air over the entire center rotor vent (with the splash shields removed)
- I also have large brake scoops to feed the ducts, but those are not installed
- factory Porsche European rear bumper with trim holes filled (makes the rear of the car look SOO much better)
- Car has multiple new seals (window scrapers, sunroof (and possibly door seals, but I can't remember now))
- Dash has only one very tiny crack starting at the rear corner of the passenger side airbag insert
The bad:
The car was running a few months ago, but I tried to start it yesterday and it would not start. The DME and fuel pump relays click, but I have not had time to troubleshoot it. I think the turbo is leaking oil, as shortly after startup, the crossover pipe smokes for a minute or two. I suspect that it will need to be rebuilt. The sunroof needs new gears installed (I will provide them with a box of extra parts I have for the car) It needs new wiring to the cooling fan ballast resistors, seats have tears, body shop left too much orange peel on hood, so I told them to respray it. They used a stripper which they must not have washed off all the way and/or repainted the hood in anger, so now the hood paint has peeled and needs to be resprayed. The exhaust stud nearest the firewall is stripped (thanks to the local Porsche shop monkeys) and will need to have a Time-sert or Helicoil installed. Tires are shot and current 18" wheels are curb-rashed and one has a bent lip. The left side blinker blinks fast and the airbag light needs to be reset. There are a couple scratches on the right rear fender, and the car needs foglights (see my other auction for factory European foglights). There is also some paint cracking on front bumper.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF OTHER PARTS FOR SALE. THANK YOU.

Porsche already considering even more hardcore Cayman GT4 RS?
Fri, Mar 6 2015We're not sure what kind of person would look at the new Porsche Cayman GT4 and say "that's not enough," but we're sure they're out there. And to satisfy just such a customer, Porsche could very well offer a GT4 RS version in the future. "This is just the beginning of the era. I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn't even talk about such a thing. If the customers call for something like this we could think about it." These are the words of Andreas Preuninger, speaking with Evo at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show this week. As head of Porsche's GT line, Preuninger and his team are responsible for creating hardcore track models like the 911 GT3, the new 911 GT3 RS and – for the first time – the new Cayman GT4. Clearly buoyed by the early success of the GT4, Prenuninger is already looking towards the next step. Considering that the existing model already packs a 3.8-liter flat six with 385 horsepower and the manual transmissions so many GT3 fans miss, we're not sure how much more they could get out of the Cayman – but we'll sure enjoy watching them try.
Supercar parade entering highway is mesmerizing
Thu, 09 May 2013In what must have looked and sounded to motorists on the M6 like an invasion of The Swarm, a parade of 50 enthusiast gems leaving a charity event were caught shooting down the on-ramp and merging into traffic. There were plenty of Porsches joining the 959 and Ducktail above, Aston Martins going back to the badboy V8 of the last millennium, a Ferrari Testarossa, a TVR and numerous other Easter eggs.
There were not, however, plenty of turn signals, with someone counting just five among the fifty engaging in proper use of the blinker. One reason put forth for that is the same reason we're posting this video, which is from last Summer, below: "because supercar." Enjoy.
2014 Porsche Panamera arrives with new E-Hybrid, long-wheelbase models
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Porsche will officially unveil the refreshed 2014 Panamera at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month, and there's a whole lot in store for the updated model, far beyond the minimal styling tweaks you see here. Sure, there's a new fascia with more prominent LED lighting (including full LED headlamps) and the rump has been tweaked ever so slightly, but the big news for 2014 concerns what's underneath that rakish skin.
First up, Porsche will now offer a Panamera S E-Hybrid model - a plug-in hybrid that builds on the technology first introduced in the Panamera S Hybrid that we tested in 2011. For this new application, a more powerful electric motor and higher-performance battery have been fitted (official specs have not been released just yet), and Porsche says the battery can be recharged in just two and a half hours when the car is plugged in to a 240-volt outlet, and the charging (as well as other vehicle data) can be monitored via a new Porsche Car Connect app available for Android and iOS devices.
The E-Hybrid will have an all-electric driving range of "greater than 20 miles" and will be able to travel at speeds up to 84 miles per hour solely on electric power.
