Up for auction is a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Very nice clean well maintained car. The exterior is in very nice condition has one small dend in the truck and a small scratch on the passengers door noted in one on the pictures. No rust or Rot anywhere on this car. Paint still shines like new. The interior is clean no stains burn holes or rips anywhere. Has a Power seat. Power options include power windows, locks, and mirrors. Runs and drives Perfect. Keyless Entry. Tires have about 75% tread left on them and are wearing properly. Goes down the road quiet no road noise, vibrations rattles ETC.. I have put the car through the shop . It has a new Power steering Rack and Pinion, new inner and outer tie rods, lower ball joints and front struts. I performed a 4 wheel alignment on it goes down the road straight no problems at all. Front brakes are also brand new pads and rotors. The rear pads have plenty of life left. This car will pass state inspection with no issues. Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
