amazing condition. All original. Mechanically inspected and comes with Brand
New Tires, Brand New Factory Mercedes front and rear brake pads and discs, all
fluids have been changed. The Underneath
is dry. This car runs and drives
beautifully, quiet, and tightly. Paint,
interior, and dash all in immaculate condition, down to the foot lifts for the
rear passengers J It has a couple of little rock chips, other
than that it is extremely clean. I can’t
get the pictures to do it justice.
Carfax is perfect with a lot of passed emission history. The car was non op’d and appears to not have been driven since 20010. There are no DMV penalties.
I took the car for the weekend and was very pleased. Starts right up, no extra noises while starting, running or driving. Handles the speed bumps and driveways solidly. The power and pick up that Mercedes intended it to have is definitely there. On a 102 degree Sacramento day I had to turn the AC down mid trip because it was too cold. Sunroof, windows, seat switches, radio all work… Ready, safe and reliable enough to drive cross country. And, that concludes my official “Car and Driver” Report.

France formally moves to ban Mercedes vehicles using contested refrigerant
Wed, 31 Jul 2013That didn't take long. Shortly after a French administrative court gave the French government a ten-day window to reconsider its ban on registrations of Mercedes-Benz A-, B- and CLA-Class cars using the prohibited R134a refrigerant, the government cited an EU directive to formalize banning the sale of the cars. The country's environmental ministry said that registrations "will remain forbidden in France as long as the company does not to conform to European regulations," meaning so long as they do not use the approved R1234yf refrigerant.
Daimler had won the administrative court decision by challenging France's application of a "safeguard" provision in which the EU allows a country to block sales of cars that would "seriously harm the environment." In spite of Daimler's victory, France has cited that very provision as basis for the continuation of the ban.
Daimler got permission from Germany's KBA federal motor authority to keep selling cars with the coolant banned by EU politicians, and is using that national permission as the right to sell the cars throughout Europe. Meanwhile, above that battle, German politicians are asking the EU to let Mercedes sell the cars in France while the KBA does more testing, at the same time as the EU is threatening Germany with repercussions if it doesn't bring the KBA and Daimler into line.
Maybach and Aston Martin alliance talks fall apart
Tue, 27 Sep 2011If you have, like us, been salivating at the notion of a new generation of Maybach and Lagonda ultra-luxury crafts built by Aston Martin, we've got some bad news: According to reports emanating from Germany, talks between AML and Daimler have broken down.
The proposal under negotiation would have seen Daimler outsourcing production of the next family of Maybach models to Aston Martin, which in return would benefit from Mercedes-Benz platforms and engines - not only for its svelte GTs, but also for its own future Lagonda line of limousines and luxury SUVs. That, and a boatload of money - or at least that's what AML was reportedly seeking, an issue that served as the stumbling block over which the deal reportedly collapsed.
That's not to say the two parties couldn't still reach some sort of a compromise, but short of that, Daimler may opt to either shut down Maybach altogether, find another partner, or take another stab at building new models internally.
