Hello and thanks for stopping to check out our 1966 Lincoln Continental Coupe! The car has the following options: 110,497 MILES! 462CID V-8 Engine Automatic Transmission Air Conditioning Power Steering and Brakes Power Windows and Locks Power Seat This Lincoln is a rare 2-door coupe and what a nice car it is! It has the original interior. We believe it’s been repainted once. The car is solid as a rock! The car starts and drives well. The miles are actual, but the mileage exceeds mechanical limits, so it has 110K miles on it. Everything works except for two windows. The two that don’t work are the passenger-front and the driver’s rear. They sound like they want to go, but don’t. The air conditioning will likely need a charge. This is just a real clean, well-maintained, all-original car. It’s been cared for properly, never had any changes made to it that weren’t outside of factory specs, meaning it never had an aftermarket radio or anything like that. We took the car and had it serviced and it’s really in good condition if you wanted to drive it home. We always suggest, on older cars, unless you live close, to have it shipped because it’s hard to find parts for older vehicles on the road. Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Lincoln MKC prototype spied out testing
Wed, 20 Mar 2013As was the case with the Lincoln MKZ, it appears that Lincoln isn't wasting any time getting its newest model transformed from concept to production form. We just saw the MKC Concept earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, and based on these spy shots, it looks like the final touches are being put in place for the 2014 Lincoln MKC crossover.
Sharing its platform with the Ford Escape, we can definitely see some similarities between these two compact crossovers when it comes to the roofline and daylight opening, but through the heavy camouflage, Lincoln's signature split-wing grille can easily be seen and it looks like the concept's taillights will also make it to reality. On the disappointing side, it looks like the integrated exhaust outlets are being ditched for some round outlets, and we can't tell if the production version will keep the Audi-like clamshell rear liftgate.
Five vehicles named Top Safety Pick+ including new Civic, MKZ
Fri, 08 Mar 2013In an attempt to help push vehicle safety to a higher level, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety created a stricter Top Safety Pick+ rating last year, which incorporates a brutal small overlap test and requires cars to get Good ratings in four out of the five categories (and no less than Acceptable in the fifth). Joining the list of the safest cars of 2013, the 2013 Volvo XC60, Lincoln MKZ, Honda Civic (sedan and coupe) and the 2014 Mazda6 have all received the coveted TSP+ rating.
The Mazda6 and Lincoln MKZ have both been completely redesigned, and both received Acceptable ratings in the small overlap test. The Honda Civic, coming off its emergency refresh for 2013, is the first small car to be subjected to the small overlap test, and IIHS says that one of the car's many upgrades includes a stiffer front structure allowing it to receive Good ratings in all categories. Similarly, the XC60 gets all Good ratings thanks to, according to IIHS, Volvo updating the airbag software allowing the side airbags to inflate during the small overlap test.
The 2014 Subaru Forester has not yet been subjected to the small overlap test, so it must make do with just a Top Safety Pick rating until the IIHS tests small utility vehicles, which is expected to happen later in the spring.
