I am selling my cherished Jaguar E-Type after 7 years of summer only driving. The Jag was restored between 1998 - 2000 and in again 2008. It has been driven only in the summer, never in the rain. The body was fully restored using Martin Robey panels. The interior was completely replaced with a complete interior kit from Bartlet of Ohio. The engine received a top-end rebuild. Engine is fed by 3 SU's fully rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics. All bright work has either been replaced or re-chromed. The Jag was restored to originally specifications with the exception of the following modifications: gear reduction starter, new Cool Cat fans, contemporary sound, Mallory electronic ignition and spin-off oil filter. This car is an above average driver and will be a real joy to the new owner as it has been for me. The Jag has taken first place in multiple car shows. During the 2008 work, the clutch was replaced, the hand brake assembly was completely rebuilt and new brakes were installed all around. Also in 2008 the original 5" chrome wires were in poor shape and were replaced by 6" Hendrix wires with new chrome knock-offs and new Pirelli tires, all body panels were pulled and repainted by Autowerks; the switches and gauges were replaced or made operable, all seals, hoses, clamps, rubber etc. were replaced. Car maintains perfect factory oil pressure, water temperature and idle RPM. Engine block stamp # is 7R108629, body picture frame # is 1E17618. I have over $40,000 in repair/rebuild invoices from 2008-2009. Feel free to email or call me with questions peter@lowescp.com (541)788-2444.

Jaguar takes bite out of Mercedes' Magic Body Control chicken ad
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We were quite impressed by Mercedes-Benz when it aired its Magic Body Control commercial, starring a group suitably funky chickens demonstrating their ability to jive to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Now, Jaguar has taken the opportunity to poke some fun at its German rival, releasing its own take on the Magic Body Control spot, and um, there's a big cat involved.
You'll really want to take a look at this video, which is just another sign that in terms of clever ads, Jaguar is doing quite well. We aren't sure if "Jaguar vs. Chicken" will make it onto TV any time soon, but it's still fun to see the British brand take the mickey out of Mercedes - it's rare to see automakers go after each other so bluntly in their marketing efforts. Scroll down to watch the video (we've also included a bonus video, Jag's recent "Cat In A Box" spot).

Jaguar readying SUV for Frankfurt debut
Thu, 01 Aug 2013In an effort to target higher-volume vehicle segments, Jaguar is getting ready to introduce its first-ever crossover, and Autoweek reports that we could see it debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. We've heard in the past that the new Jaguar crossover could carry the name XQ, but the report also mentions that the Q-type name is still in the running (now wouldn't Audi just love that?).
A little more clear than the crossover's name, AW says the cargo-friendly Jaguar should ride on the same platform as the upcoming Jaguar XS compact sedan rather than using a Land Rover platform. As for the on-sale date, it still sounds like the XS will hit the roads first in 2015 with the crossover model due out in 2016.
