After drive train was removed, the complete underside of car was stripped for the beginning of restoration process.
It has had the front floor pans replaced and FULL factory replacement rear quarters. (Both quarters had rust in
the lower rear). The rear end was rebuilt and basically everything else under the car is new.(gas tank, all gas
and brake lines, brake hardware and pads, emergency brake system). The front end was replaced, if anything was
reused, it was stripped and powder coated. All underside metal repairs were completed and then it was
painted/lightly undercoated. It also has new shocks, wheels and tires!
The interior is all new (seat covers, door panels, carpet, window/door handles and dash pad). The top was
professionally installed 1 month ago (all new weather-stripping). It is a Robbins Stayfast Cloth top and it looks
amazing!!! Power top works great!! It has a Mustang Brand Radio with new speaker, which has the classic look but
also has USB capabilities. The heater box was completely rebuilt with new coil, seals, cables and hoses. It still
has the original front seat belts.
The exterior was professionally painted in basecoat/clearcoat system in Raven Black. The doors, deck lid, hood and
front fenders are all original metal, they were stripped down to metal at the beginning. It has all new
weather-stripping and window felt. All side glass is original and the front windshield and seal is new. As you
can see in photos, it has new door latches, inside and outside handles and new door hinges. It has new emblems,
bumpers, taillights, front park lights, front and rear valences, back-up lights and a magnaflow dual exhaust. It
also has new front and rear wiring harnesses.
The car starts right up and drives great, you can drive it with 2 fingers. Engine runs smooth and it shifts
through all gears perfectly. In addition to factory equipment, I installed a set of gauges under the dash for oil
pressure, temperature and charging. I also installed a Be Cool pusher fan on the new radiator to ensure the engine
stays cool.
When I purchased car the underdash air unit was gone, but it still had all of the other hardware. I kept
everything in case someone wants to put it back original. The 3 groove lower pully is installed on engine.
Inspections are welcome, just give me a email!

2015 Ford Mustang potentially 'leaked' by Car and Driver

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Few upcoming debuts have been as eagerly anticipated as the all-new Ford Mustang that's expected to debut shortly as the Mustang's 50th anniversary year approaches. Well, Car and Driver magazine would have us wait no longer as it claims to be leaking Ford's new global pony car early.
Of course what you're looking at is just as likely to be a composite rendering based on what C/D projects the new Mustang to look like, but to our eyes it looks spot on. Combining design traits from the Evos Concept with classic Mustang signatures and Ford's Aston-inspired grille treatment, C/D's images - including a complete 360-degree digital navigator - show a Mustang not only for the modern era, but also for global distribution, taking a quintessentially American car to markets its predecessors were never designed for.
Those global considerations are expected to spell the demise of the outgoing Mustang's holdout live rear axle in favor of an independent suspension, and a slight constricting of the exterior dimensions. And thanks to a separate leak, coming from a digital survey, we have apparent confirmation of what will power the new pony car. While the existing 3.7-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines will apparently carry over with only slight adjustments in output, the survey confirms a new 2.4-liter turbo four will be positioned in between them, offering slightly more power than the V6 but markedly improved fuel economy for a manageable $560 premium over base.

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
