2012 Ford Focus Se Hatchback 5-speed, Yellow Blaze on 2040-cars
Morrisville, Pennsylvania, United States
|
For sale is my 2012 Ford Focus SE 5-speed. This car has been babied since I purchased it, and it is in amazing condition. Unfortunately, I need to offload this car due to financial reasons, so my loss is your gain. There are not many cars that exist in this particular configuration. Yellow Blaze color, 5-speed manual trans., MyFord & Sync package, Winter package w/ heated seats and mirrors, SE sport package, and 16" machined alloy wheels. This car has 26,302 miles, each one of these miles has been carefully added, hardly ever exceeding the speed limit! Over the lifetime of this car, I have averaged 32.5 MPG, reaching real time MPG of around 40 on the highway. I have included a picture of the Window Sticker and every possible angle I could think of to describe the car.
Price is $15,000 firm. This is what I owe on the car. I want to make you aware of this payoff as it may cause a very slight delay in transfer time. This is an excellent deal on a car that has barely even been broken in. For more info, email me or call me at 215-873-6966, no texts please. |

Experts wonder if aluminum F-150 gives Ford a real advantage
Mon, 17 Mar 2014There's no doubt that Ford is taking a risk in producing the body of its upcoming new F-150 pickup truck in aluminum. What is up for debate, however, is whether aluminum was a wise risk to take in the first place. Wards Auto took the opportunity to poll some experts on the subject of aluminum versus steel in the automotive sector, with somewhat unsurprising results.
Richard Schultz, a project consultant at Ducker Worldwide, which bills itself as "a leading aluminum industry consultant (though they also deal in steels), suggests that the potential drawbacks to aluminum - higher costs, lower supply - aren't really impediments to the auto industry's increased acceptance of the lightweight metal.
Similarly, Randall Scheps, global automotive marketing director for Alcoa, a massive aluminum producer, counters claims that aluminum is less safe for vehicle occupants, suggesting that the use of aluminum can actually increase safety as it could potentially allow for larger vehicles with more crush space than steel.
Riding along in Ford's bonkers Fiesta ST Global RallyCross car [w/video]
Wed, 28 Aug 2013
The Mountune-worked Fiesta ST GRC does 0-to-60 mph in 1.9 seconds.
On any given day, and every single weekend, there's at least one parking in the country invaded by manufacturer and team trucks. The be-chromed beasts and their 53-foot trailers are slotted into rows, men and women decorate the lot with orange cones to mark the invisible tracery of a temporary track, cars get unloaded, crews fret over them. The ritual can be as beautiful as the sunrise to those with enthusiast hearts, but it's just as common.
2013 Ford Mustang V6
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Secretary Trim, Evolved
There was a time not so long ago when opting for a base Ford Mustang meant getting little more than some sheetmetal, an anemic four-cylinder engine and what may very well have been the world's most disappointing automatic transmission. During the Fox Body years, Ford seemed hell-bent on living up to Carroll Shelby's derogatory description of the coupe as little more than a runabout for demure office assistants, and the result was a base model with fewer sporting intentions than a Dilbert day calendar.
Some 20 years later, hopping behind the wheel of an entry-level pony is an entirely different experience. With all of the menacing aesthetics of the brawnier GT, a well-equipped interior and a drivetrain that toes the line between efficiency and power better than few before it, the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 is an attractive option for buyers in the big coupe market. But is it attractive enough to forgo the beastly GT?
