1963 Falcon Futura convertible. Originally a 6 cylinder 2 speed auto car. Now has 5 lug v8 front & rear from 1965 sprint. Auction includes a 1967 289 2v engine that has been rebuilt & a falcon t-10 4 speed wide bolt pattern transmission. Factory red on red, bucket seat futura. Front clip is nice with very little rust. Engine bay is nice with little to no rust. Needs floors. Rust in lower quarters.Also included is 4 speed pedal set up.. No 4 speed floor hump.No bellhousing or clutch. Have a 4 speed column. Also have a 3 speed automatic column if buyer prefers. Includes a new front bumper. Needs rear bumper. Seats included but need work. Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

Ford bringing C-Max Solar Energi Concept to CES
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Solar energy might not be enough to power a usable electric vehicle on its own, but that doesn't mean it can't lend a helping hand. And that's what Ford has in store for the Consumer Electronics Show opening next week in Las Vegas.
Ford has essentially taken its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid and fitted it with the latest in solar panel technology developed by SunPower, acting like a magnifying glass to capture as much of the sun's energy as possible. So you get the benefit of an electric vehicle, with the range assurance of a hybrid, without needing to draw from the grid.
Ford estimates that a day of charging in the sunshine will give the C-Max Solar Energi concept the same full charge as the production PHEV, with a total range of 620 miles - 21 of which can be run on electric power alone. Otherwise the vehicle - which remains a concept for the time being - is identical to the existing C-Max Energi. The top-selling model in Ford's growing hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio helps put Ford just behind Toyota among the top seller of hybrids in America.
