We have a 1989 Full Size Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition (CLEAR TITLE - IN HAND) that we are listing for sale.

This was purchased as a restoration project but we are working too much to be able to give this any more time. Our loss is your gain...this is going to be a true investment since the Bronco will be reintroduced by Ford in 2016 the value of this truck is set to explode. With minimal investment, you can capitalize on that wave.

THE GOOD: In addition to a squeaky clean carfax, this bucking Bronco has a strong running 5.0/302 motor...

NO LEAKS/NO KNOCKS/STARTS EVERYTIME/GETS UP AND GOES!

...with 138,XXX miles and she looks clean under the hood. It has a legitimate towing package with the auxiliary cooler (not just a tow hitch). Smooth shifting transmission, Tires have easily 75% tread and all match except the spare. We just replaced the high pressure line and recharged the A/C so this has ICE COLD refreshing A/C for the hot Florida summer. New throttle position sensor installed, New Serpentine Belt, New driver and passenger side headlights installed (all lights work). All three window motors as well as all window gaskets and felts are brand new and work beautifully - NO LEAKS. It has a brand new exhaust system and purrs like a kitten as well as a brand new full front, rear and head unit Kenwood stereo system to rock out while you're on the road. This is in all original condition, the interior has very minor issues but no cracks were noted in the dash and overall it is clean. This truck has great bones for a driving restoration and would make a great first vehicle or driving restoration project. Another neat feature of this Bronco is that it has hidden start switch as an added security measure.

ALL KNOWN ISSUES: There is rust at bottom of tailgate & very top of driver's side window channel (this is common issue - please expand photos to see detail), there is a tear in driver's seat and it definitely needs paint and some dings worked out. We do have a local contact that will do the paint and body work for cost of materials. The 4WD is not currently working but based on testing and research up to this point we suspect it just needs to have the ECM module replaced which is approximately $100 and time to install it.

Any potential buyers are welcome to make arrangements to view and inspect this locally. Payment will need to be in cash or 3% will be added to final total to cover the cost of paypal fees. We require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $125 within 24 hrs of the end of the auction to cover the cost of the final value fee. Final payment is due within 7 days of the end of the auction.

Buyer will be solely responsible for pick up and we are happy to work with any shipping company as we do have experience with transport services. Please note, we are both firefighters and work 24hr shifts so there may be days where we cannot be available for pick up so schedule coordination is a must.

Additional photos are available upon request.

Please ask all questions prior to making an offer.

Vehicle is listed for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time, for any reason.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing

Tue, Nov 1 2016

Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. Major automakers post mixed US June sales figures

Mon, Jul 3 2017

General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV posted declines in US new vehicle sales for June on Monday, while major Japanese automakers reported stronger figures. Once again, demand for pickup trucks and crossovers offset a decline in sedan sales. Automakers' shares rose as overall industry sales still came in above Wall Street expectations. The US auto industry is bracing for a downturn after hitting a record 17.55 million new vehicles sold in 2016. Analysts had predicted that overall, US vehicle sales would fall in June for the fourth consecutive month. As the market has shown signs of cooling, automakers have hiked discounts and loosened lending terms. Car shopping website Edmunds said on Monday the average length of a car loan reached an all-time high of 69.3 months in June. "It's financially risky, leaving borrowers exposed to being upside down on their vehicles for a large chunk of their loans," said Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds' executive director of industry analysis. GM said its sales fell about 5 percent versus June 2016, but that the industry would see stronger sales in the second half of 2017 versus the first half. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." GM shares were up 2.4 percent in morning trading, while Ford rose 3.3 percent and FCA shares jumped 6 percent. "US total sales are moderating due to an industry-wide pullback in daily rental sales, but key US economic fundamentals clearly remain positive," said GM chief economist Mustafa Mohatarem. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." Ford said its sales for June were hit by lower fleet sales to rental agencies, businesses, and government entities, which fell 13.9 percent, while sales to consumers were flat. But it sold a record 406,464 SUVs in the first half of the year, with Explorer sales increasing 23 percent in June. And sales of the F-150 had their strongest June since 2001. On a media call, Ford executives said an initial read of automakers' sales figures indicated a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of around 17 million new vehicles for the month, which would be better than 16.6 million units analysts had predicted. FCA said June sales decreased 7 percent versus the same month a year earlier.
