Offered today is one 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback 428 Cobra Jet R code .First to go was the 57 T bird than the 53 Ford F 100. This car was last as it was
hoped that health improvements would come and enjoyment of this beautiful car would be. As this is a muscle car
Richie is going to stick with his Mustang 04 GT convertible automatic with power steering and AC.
This 1969 Mach 1 was originally sold and driven here on Long Island New York. Always garaged. This Mach 1 has been
driven very little since 1979. Original color is candy apple red with a black interior. This car is very solid. The
mileage is just 94,100. The frame and floors front to back are rock solid as the pictures show. Richie is the third
owner who took possession of this car 15 years ago. A full restoration was always intended. The engine,
transmission and brakes were rebuilt. note it is originally a 3 speed stick now an automatic. The stick pedals are
still in the car. The Mach 1 was driven 500 miles over the next 4 years and than the car was put into storage.
Always fully insured and registered every year. Driven a few miles every year until 2012. After which it had had
been run every year, still the gas went bad in the tank and has been run now out of a gas can. I ran it yesterday
and it is a smooth quiet engine. It has about 500 miles on it!
The original interior has a beautiful headliner, original seats are still looking good. The red insert carpets
have to be cleaned but always had floor mats protecting them and still look really nice. The original door panels
are in great shape too, with minor cracks on the drivers side. The seat belts are present with bright brass rollers
and very nice plastic covers. This car is a perfect candidate for a survivor /driver. OR a most perfect foundation
for a top concourse restoration as it is very original.
The engine was rebuilt and I have pictures of the job. This is a COBRA JET engine. The C6 was rebuilt and
although it has not seen the road lately it does not leak and it goes into gear. The rear brake line is leaking and
prevents the car from being driven. I must say also that the gas in the tank went bad and has been run from an
external gas can. I can replace the tank and repair the brake line if Richie and the new owner want me to.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.

Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.
