Up for grabs is a neat little Original 1928 Ford Model A pickup! Looking for a good father son restoration project or hot rod/ rat rod project? Well look no further because this is the car for you! From it’s patina paint to the running stock 4 banger this truck screams attention. Truck has a clean and clear title so no hassles when it comes time to register and insure. Comes with tons of stock and aftermarket parts such as a full box of stock and aftermarket hardware and wiring etc., 5 wire wheels, drivers side rare front fender with spare tire holder in great shape, spare tire mount, bumpers, new running boards still in the box, extra gauge cluster bezel with speedo, and a bunch more cool stuff! The pickup was running and driving last year, all fluids drained to be stored, will run and drive again with minimal work, needs a 6 volt battery and some coolant and a few other odds and ends and would be a fun stock runner! Has new front spring, head, water pump, belt, plugs, distributer, wires, coil, rebuilt carb., radiator, radiator shell, motometer, and lots more new stuff. The only rust through is on lower cowl as pictured and a little bit on back of cab. Has front and rear glass, no door glass, but regulators are there. Has dings and dents but not bad. Very solid and cool little A pickup :) Truck comes with rollers as shown too. I’m a very honest seller and if I leave something out or if you have any questions please message me with your concerns. Also if you have 0 feedback or a very low number your bid will be canceled and you will be reported to Ebay. Contact me first. I have the right to end auction at anytime and this car is for sale locally and elsewhere so bid to win and have your funds in order! NO TRADES! Happy bidding! J |

Shelby to auction 2012 GT350 No. 1 in Vegas
Thu, 19 Sep 2013With Shelby preparing to wind down production of its brutal GT350, a 624-horsepower Mustang that's meant to go up against the Roush Stage 3 in the world of tuned Ford ponycars, the Las Vegas-based tuner is looking to give back to one lucky customer. It'll auction off the very first GT350 ever produced, at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, a three-day event that runs from September 26 through September 28.
The GT350 is a monster, with a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 that's been tuned well past 600 horsepower in a time when Ford's own Shelby-branded GT500 barely reached 550 horsepower. The GT350 is much louder than Ford's effort, too, both visually and audibly. The wide body look isn't what we'd call conventional, but on a car that sounds and goes like this, something extreme is needed. According to Shelby American's vice president of production, Gary Davis, "Carroll was very excited about the new wide body option, so that was included on this car. It's the first 2012 GT350 serial number from our anniversary year. It is a very special car." Wilwood brakes, a massaged suspension, and some very fat, sticky tires add to the Shelby experience.
This particular GT350 will be lot number 750, and will cross the Barrett-Jackson stage on Sunday, September 28.
Jaguar design boss admits X-Type was a mistake
Thu, 19 Sep 2013History has a way of repeating itself, especially in the auto industry. When Jaguar was owned by Ford, the British brand attempted to field a competitor for the BMW 3 Series, called the X-Type. Based on the bones of a Ford Mondeo, it aped the styling of Jaguar's flagship model, the XJ, while borrowing liberally from the Ford parts bin. That was 2001.
Now, in 2013, Jaguar is planning a new 3 Series challenger based on the platform previewed by the C-X17 Concept, while Ford is attempting to take the latest Mondeo upmarket. The moves have both brands recognizing where, why, and how the X-Type failed. "It didn't look mature or powerful or anything. It was just a car," Jaguar's current head of advanced design, Julian Thomson, told PistonHeads. Basing the X-Type on a front-drive car while giving it styling that was meant for a rear-driver lead to proportions that "were plainly wrong," Thomson told PH. Ford's European head of quality, Gunnar Herrmann, added that the X-Type was "a fake Jaguar, because every piece I touch is Ford."
For what it's worth, the X-Type's successor in the segment will sport rear-drive, with plenty of input from Ian Callum. Thomson described the new model, which would challenge the 3 Series as having, "Big wheels right to the ends of the car, low bonnet, short overhangs, very low cabins." Sounds good to us.
