Tailgate was not painted, two tailgates come with the truck. The original and a replacement; both tailgates have working mechanical parts. Paint numbers will be sent with the truck to paint to match the truck. It would take a quart of paint to finish the tailgate. The exhaust has a leak, needs new mufflers or you could straight pipe, x-pipe, do whatever you like. Interior: the dash is cracked, you can buy it new from NPD for a few hundred dollars it is glued and has nuts on the backside for removal. This truck does have AC and it does work. New rims and tires, 90% of chrome trim is back on the truck, needs new rearview mirror. The steering wheel is from a GM vehicle (not my doing). Needs headliner, this truck was used as my daily driver since April before I started to paint it a month ago. Paint is nice but not professional. This truck ones complete could be taken to shows."

1969 Ford F100 No Reserve!

New paint, rated at a 7.5/10 very minor scratches, original chrome shows age, Interior painting is 95% complete. This truck ones complete could be taken to shows. I will include a new catalog from NPD for new parts they are pretty reasonable with pricing for most items. This truck is originally a Texas truck and has no rust issues. Manual steering and brakes means this is a real mans truck. Every option on this truck works, radio, ac, speedometer, tilt steering column, all windows roll up and down, vent windows open. Driver's door vent window latch missing the rubber to completely close it, once again NPD part is about 10 dollars. I am owner 3 of the truck, it was a farm truck for 27 years before the previous owner started to restore the truck. Truck runs and drives well and true, newer brakes transmission shifts with ease. 4-Speed with Granny gear, I believe its a t-19 transmission. Dash has not been cut for the aftermarket radio original equipment will still fit perfectly. Biggest need for the truck is a rear window seal. There isn't one the rear window is not in the truck, it is in perfect shape however, and could be installed easily once a new rubber gasket is purchased. A new seal is about 40 dollars. All the things that need to be done to the truck are minor and should cost less than a hundred dollars. All the major work has been done already. The bed of the truck was not cleared so that a spray in liner could be put in. It is best to have a rough surface when installing a spray in liner. Sorry I don't have any newer pictures. The grill and bumpers are back on as well as the wheel trim and most of the other chrome trim as well as both mirrors.

Needs: Rear window seal, paint for tailgate, bed liner, minor cosmetic materials for the interior, and new mufflers if you wanted. Yes that's it, I know I made it sound like it needs a lot of work, I am just trying to be honest and thorough. Depending on time you have available you could finish this in a couple of weeks.

New: Paint, tires, rims, brakes, engine enamel, valve covers, bench seat. Probably a lot more that I can't think of right now, I've been typing for what feels like ever.

Plus: no rust!

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, I am here to help, on a side note; the funds from the sale of this truck will be going towards my wedding next July! So I need all the money I can get so bid 'er up! I know this truck will make for an easy project, it was for me when I was working on it. This truck is extremely solid and I'm sad to let it go, but adulthood calls.

I will help with setting up the shipping once you find a carrier, I've done this a few times I can give some advice if you need it. Just here to help.

Thank you for looking and hopefully bidding!

Ford readying Ranger-based Everest SUV?

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

Way back in August, we showed you a Ford concept for the Australian market called the Everest. Now, we can show you that work on the new Ranger-based SUV is well under way.
At this stage, it's still quite clearly a mule (note the misalignment of the front and rear doors), wearing the Ranger's front end and the rump of Ford's overseas Territory crossover. The wheelbase is shorter than a Ranger, according to our spy photographers, which strikes us as somewhat odd for a more passenger-oriented vehicle. Disc brakes should be fitted at all four corners, while the new SUV, which will almost certainly wear the Everest name, should sport a new rear suspension.
In terms of looks, we're expecting the Everest Concept to inform the appearance of the production model. Naturally, there will also be some interior tweaks, particularly around the dashboard, which is covered in these photos.

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.
