2009 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Interceptor, ex-Colorado State Patrol, 134k miles, 2914 idle hours (mileage may increase slightly due to test drives). I am listing this for a friend. He has driven this car over 2000 miles and it is solid and tight. Runs & drives very well, everything works properly including A/C & heat. Equipped with power windows, locks, & mirrors (heated). Also has adjustable pedals. Cloth front bucket seats with vinyl rear seat (new console added). Full carpet, tilt wheel, cruise control, am/fm radio. Goodyear Ultra-grip tires are good and includes spare tire & jack. Also has Ford trunk pack. There are nicks & scratches consistent with age & use. 3 plugged antenna holes in roof and 1 in trunk lid. Car overall in above average condition. New TX inspection & registration. Clear TX title in hand. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and all costs. Can deliver to local shipping locations. Can also pick you up at San Antonio International Airport should you fly in. Serious buyers only please. Sorry no financing and no trades. Use "ask the seller" for any questions you may have and they will be answered quickly. No warranty, sold "as is-where is". Also listed locally so auction may be canceled at any time. Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
