I have a few Z's and I need to down size my cars.
This is a 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo 5 Speed with manual A/C Heater controls,Cloth Blue and silver seat from 1985 300ZX turbo(I have the original seats and they will go with the car).
The Z runs and drive strong no issues,Strong engine P90A F54 Block with T3 factory Turbo and it spools like it should be,T5 tranny shifts smooth with healthy clutch  but if you want to go from fourth to third you will feel little grind and that happened very rare depend how you drive it the rear end is a 3.54 ratio(39:11) and it in good condition no play along with the CV axles..everything else runs like it should be also It have a straight pipe to the muffler and deleted the egr(I have a Classis insurance and I don't have to rum emissions).Complete Blue and Silver interior(Dash have some sun cracks but covered with dash mat) and all the panels is there and in decent condition also all the spare tire and tools are there and there an extra air pump in case you need it.The Z has a Canadian Gauge cluster, replaced by the previous owner a nd I've been told that the car has 158K miles in it but he wasn't that honest. The Z has 181K so I want to clear everything out.
Rust free except on the lower chrome piece from the windshield.I have the original fender and all the trims to complete the look(I had little fender binder)Everything is ready to spray and mount. All the floor pans, rail and rockers are rust free even the spare tire well in nice condition.I trust this car and she is my daily drive for a while.
Please let me know if you have any ?'s.
Thanks for looking and good luck.

Malaise Era All-Stars

Fri, 17 May 2013

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.

37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.
