Chevrolet/GM stopped making the 2-Door Tahoe in 1999 so these are becoming more and more rare and very hard to find, especially in this shape with these miles (an average of 7000 miles a year). Remember, it is a 17-18 year old vehicle and it is not in showroom condition (nor should anyone expect it to be). The paint still shines nice for its age (would probably shine even more with a good detailing!). It does have some very small minor dings and a small dent in the molding at the bottom of the passenger door (see close-up pics...its hard to see but I did my best...I can take more pics upon request). These minor imperfections are normal for the age, but I am just trying to fully describe it so as to not deceive anyone. I am an honest seller and I urge you to contact me and I will answer any questions you may have. I have already factored these imperfections into my price. I am very reluctant to sell it and I don't need to sell it, so please be respectful and don't bother me with low-ball offers (I certainly will not entertain them). This is my 3rd vehicle and I don't get a chance to drive it that often (maybe a few thousand miles a year). I figure that someone else can enjoy it instead of it mostly sitting in my garage. Again, this Tahoe is one-of-a-kind so please do not waste my time (or purchase) if you do not have the money. I do not want to hear about book values, etc. I am well aware of what these 2-door Tahoes' are selling for. I don't wish to offend anybody, but I have heard many stories of people clicking "buy-it-now" and not completing the transaction. Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM's European Opel division may eventually go all-electric
Wed, Feb 15 2017General Motors' Opel division in Europe may transform itself into an all-electric vehicle maker by 2030. Granted, a lot can happen between now and then, including a potential buyout by French automaker PSA Group. Regardless, Opel appears to view its electric future beyond the Ampera-e, which is the sister vehicle to the Chevrolet Bolt, and more like Tesla. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann indicated that focusing on electric drivetrains would be a superior strategy to expanding its EV technology while pushing forward with conventional drivetrains, says Automotive News Europe, citing comments Neumann made to German publication Manager Magazin. General Motors could make the decision to move towards an all-electric vehicle line for Opel as soon as May. Of course, that depends on whether Opel is bought out by PSA, the parent country to Peugeot and Citroen. PSA is in talks to buy General Motors' Opel and Vauxhall divisions, though government and labor representatives in Germany have expressed concerns over potential job losses from the proposed buyout, Reuters says. Regardless, GM has hinted at expanding its electric-vehicle line far beyond the Bolt, which has a 238-mile single-charge range and debuted late last year. Mary Barra, in an interview with CNET, said the Bolt's all-electric platform could be applied to a "huge range of vehicles," though wasn't specific about additional EV models. Opel first showed off its Ampera-e at the Paris Motor Show last fall. The name of the model raised some eyebrows because the Ampera badge had been previously used by Opel for the sister version of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in. Either way, Opel is looking to take on Renault for electric-vehicle sales supremacy across the Pond. Related Video:
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
