1957 Chevrolet Pickup Truck
Short-Bed

I have a 1957 Chevy truck up for sale.  It's really a great truck and is in very good shape.  It has a nice original look to it.  It also has the factory big back window which is pretty rare.   It was a NM truck for a long time before coming to AZ.  It is very solid and no cancer upon my inspection. The paint is in good shape and would rate it 8/10.  It might have a few tiny scratches up close here and there, but from 5' away the truck looks amazing and is fun to cruise around in.  It has a low reserve and buy in now.  It's priced right and will be a great truck for someone to own.  Here is what is known about the truck.

  • 6cyl Engine checked out my a certified mechanic and it runs good
  • 3 on the tree manual transmission and the clutch and gears preform as they should
  • Brakes and fuel systems inspected and work correctly.
  • Exterior lights work
  • New interior carpet
  • New wheels and tires with caps and rings
  • Chassis steam cleaned
  • New front glass gasket
  • All glass is good and no cracks
  • Door seals are newer and seal
  • Has seat belts
  • New fuel tank and sending unit

The gauges work with exception of the speedo.  It needs a new cable.  All the other gauges appear to work.  The wood bed is still in decent shape.  It might need another coat of clear, but it is not rotten.  It has a later model bench seat as well.  This is a very good truck and for the price it's one to not miss.  I have tried to explain things as accurate as possible.  Please, if you have any questions, call me an I am happy to answer them.  Jason 480-619-8353   The truck is in Gilbert, AZ
If you need help with shipping, I can recommend a good shipping company.  Good luck and bid with confidence.

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
