!972 Chevy C-10..its a work in progress...I have sunk a lot of money In the frame...I have every receipt for everything that I bought for this truck. I will start with the title of the truck...I do not have one..i bought the truck in Georgia which does not require a title on trucks this old...just a registration, which I have, along with a bill of sale and a print out of the last owners registration history. With that said...the truck is in pretty decent shape..again the frame has been completely redone, new everything, down to the wheel bearings...the bed has had some work done as well..new tailgate and roll pan, they are both welded up, the bed has been sanded inside and out, mostly to the metal, primered , bed coated underneath and painted underneath..inside the bed has been sanded, primered and also bed coated for protection...there are new full moon caps on the wheels, the truck has been lowered 5 inches in the rear and 3 1/2 in the front. The cab is in really good shape, no rust in the floor at all, still has original paint, none missing..all the glass is still in the truck and all in great shape. the front clip and fenders are not on the cab, but are in decent shape, I think there is a little rust in the front bottom fenders..all the parts are here but most are not attached to the truck..the bed is attached. most of the the pictures were taken today, some are from when the frame was redone, before I put the bed back on... the truck is a little dirty . I started this project with my kids, but they have lost interest and so have I. im not trying to get everything I have invested, but would like to recoupe some of my investment...a lot of the work is already done, especially the frame..because it is completely redone...if anyone would like to make a reasonable offer, please feel free to give me a call at 423-591-5876 or send me a message...I am willing to deal, but I would still need money up front to hold the truck. feel free to ask any and all questions. thanks...

GM won't really kill off the Chevy Volt and Cadillac CT6, will it?
Fri, Jul 21 2017General Motors is apparently considering killing off six slow-selling models by 2020, according to Reuters. But is that really likely? The news is mentioned in a story where UAW president Dennis Williams notes that slumping US car sales could threaten jobs at low-volume factories. Still, we're skeptical that GM is really serious about killing those cars. Reuters specifically calls out the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Sonic, and the Chevrolet Volt. Most of these have been redesigned or refreshed within the past few model years. Four - the LaCrosse, Impala, CT6, and Volt - are built in the Hamtramck factory in Detroit. That plant has made only 35,000 cars this year - down 32 percent from 2016. A typical GM plant builds 200,000-300,000 vehicles a year. Of all the cars Williams listed, killing the XTS, Impala, and Sonic make the most sense. They're older and don't sell particularly well. On the other hand, axing the other three seems like an odd move. It would leave Buick and Cadillac without flagship sedans, at least until the rumored Cadillac CT8 arrives. The CT6 was a big investment for GM and backing out after just a few years would be a huge loss. It also uses GM's latest and best materials and technology, making us even more skeptical. The Volt is a hugely important car for Chevrolet, and supplementing it with a crossover makes more sense than replacing it with one. Offering one model with a range of powertrain variants like the Hyundai Ioniq and Toyota Prius might be another route GM could take. All six of these vehicles are sedans, Yes, crossover sales are booming, but there's still a huge market for cars. Backing away from these would be essentially giving up sales to competitors from around the globe. The UAW might simply be publicly pushing GM to move crossover production to Hamtramck to avoid closing the plant and laying off workers. Sales of passenger cars are down across both GM and the industry. Consolidating production in other plants and closing Hamtramck rather than having a single facility focus on sedans might make more sense from a business perspective. GM is also trying to reduce its unsold inventory, meaning current production may be slowed or halted while current cars move into customer hands. There's a lot of politics that goes into building a car. GM wants to do what makes the most sense from a business perspective, while the UAW doesn't workers to lose their jobs when a factory closes.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
