Baker has a 78 Camaro front clip with disc brakes, "close ratio" power steering, sway bar and gas shocks. His engine is a 69/350 small block, bored .030 over. He runs perfect on pump gas. ( detailed to look like a 65 Corvette 350 HP) Transmission is a 65 Muncie 4 spd. with a Hurst shifter. Rear end is also 78 Camaro with a 3:42 gear and a GM limited slip. (Front suspension, Engine, Trans. Drive shaft, Rear end and Rear suspension were all new or rebuilt when he was completed in 2004. That was 8,750 miles ago. Baker has air conditioning that works great along with his heater. He has a nice sound system hidden away out of sight but very friendly to use. He has swinging clutch and brake peddles, 62 Pontiac steering column, 60 Chevy steering wheel, 62 Chevy dash controls, Stewart Warner gauges, 52 Chevy front seat, 57 Pontiac door panel trim, 56 Chevy arm rests and plenty of storage space behind the seat. Baker is all steel He was completely disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up with documentation to support it. His paint is PPG bas coat-clear coat. He's as straight as he looks in the pictures. All of his chrome is perfect, (red & orange) pin striping is nicely done to complement his paint. His doors, trunk and hoods work exactly as the should. He has tinted glass all the way around. His trunk is finished to match the interior. The bottom of the body is finished in black PPG. His Michelin tires are mounted on Chevy 14 inch front ( P205/75-14) and Chevy 15 inch (P225/75-15) rear. I encourage any potential buyer to come see and inspect "Baker" He may not be exactly what you want, but you will not be disappointed.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
