1957 Chevy 3100 series half ton shortbed stepside This truck is good driver quality and not a show truck. The paint is not perfect and does have some flaws .But would be a great candidate for a really nice show truck. List: Has a strong running chevy 350 and a 350 turbo transmission. Seems to be a small transmission leak but not to bad. This truck has had a lot of new parts installed new driver bedside custom window trim pass rear fender daul exhaust driver front fender oak wood front and rear bumper front bed panel headlight bucket and retainers and headlights stainless tailgate chains chrome headlight bezels stainless bed trim rear window lugnuts windshield cab corners brake lines and fuel lines bed cross bars door seals And a bunch of other stuff window seals stepsides I do have all the receipts Has a more modern wiring harness and the brakes have been up graded to power but still drum but stops very well. Still has original frame and suspension. The frame has been patched in the back from some rust issues but was done well. As you can see from the pictures it has a satin black paint job . The interior was left alone with original patina in mind. And also the engine bay was left with old patina look also. Has original bench seat. Dash is all original including radio heater knobs and glove box. The steering column came out of a mid 80 silverado I think. Carpet Is just a make shift piece not factory. Has the original tailgate on it and grille. They are both beat up and should be replaced. If you desire. It does have a couple of rust holes in the cab that need a little patchwork. someone at sometime did a patch job but not to my standards but will be easy to fix. They are where the firewall and the floor pan meet One on the pass and driver side. can see from the pics. Sorry I dont take the best pictures. Im sure I leaving some things out , Please feel free to ask any questions I would be glad to help out. I do require a 500 dollar deposit thru paypal at auction end and the rest in cash at pickup unless other arrangements are made. GM to idle car production at five factories as Americans continue CUV love affair
Mon, Dec 19 2016In case you needed another reminder that Americans have fallen out of love with sedans, General Motors today announced plans to idle five factories in January in a bid to cut its inventory to 70 days. Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly ( Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Volt and Impala) and Fairfax Assembly in Kansas ( Chevy Malibu) will stop production for three weeks. Lansing Grand River ( Cadillac ATS and CTS, and Chevy Camaro) is going down for two weeks, while Lordstown, OH ( Chevy Cruze) and Bowling Green, KY ( Chevy Corvette) will go idle for a week each, Automotive News reports. GM's shutdown reflects a broader problem with the company's supply – at 847,000 vehicles, the company's supply increased unsteadily from a low of 629,000 units in January of 2016. That's more than a 25 percent increase in the past year. Citing information from Autodata, The Detroit News reports that at the end of November, GM had a 168-day supply of LaCrosses, 177 days' worth of Camaro, 170 days of Corvette, 121 days for Cruze, 119 days for ATS, 132 days for CTS, and 110 days of CT6. Meanwhile, inventory of the company's more popular vehicles is actually below the professionally accepted 60- to 70-day supply, The News reports. The Trax, Colorado pickup, and GM's full-size SUVs are sitting below 50 days and experiencing year-over-year sales increases. GM needs a rethink of its inventory levels, which is something that's apparently coming. "We're going to be responsible in managing our inventory levels," GM spokesman Jim Cain told The News. Another unnamed spokesman told Automotive News the company's day-to-day supplies would "fluctuate before moderating at year-end." But at least one analyst thinks this won't be the last time Detroit needs to stop production to level things out. "Incentives are elevated, residuals are declining, and rates are rising," Brian Johnson, an analyst with Barclays, told The News. "And while GM in particular may benefit in the months ahead from new product launches, it's important to recognize that GM's inventory is elevated at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise us if they need to announce another production cut – which could pressure the stock." Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
