  •        Our acre plus facility is located just 3 miles west of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Int'l Airport

  • Who We Are and What We Do

Our Firm, Gancos Enterprises Inc., is an Asset Liquidation Business.  Most of the assets we liquidate come from cases involving bankruptcy, divorce, estate, debt reconsolidation, repossession, and insurance claims.
We have been established and licensed since 1991 in Florida and hold a valid motor vehicle reseller/dealer license and sales tax certificate.  We are located at 14616 66th St. N. in Clearwater, Fl 33764.   ph: 813-765-8849   Hours-8am to 8pm
We handle the full appraisals of the assets, write the condition reports, get service inspections done by an ASE Independent Repair Facility, store the assets, advertise/market the assets, and take care of all the necessary communication,  paperwork and title transfer of the asset with the buyer/new owner.
We /Sell / Liquidate motor vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, RV's, 5th wheels, HD equip and HD trucks.  We Are Not in the Repossession Business.
We are Liquidators--Not Retailers--therefore due to the nature of our business our prices are much below what other comparable models are priced at from dealers, private owners, and retailers.  This results in huge savings for you!
We are not at liberty to go into why a specific item is being liquidated nor will we be turning over the previous owner's name or any proprietary information so please don't inquire as we must be in accordance with and adhere to strict privacy laws and agreements.
Please understand that just because the price is low DOES NOT MEAN that something is wrong with the asset.  We Liquidate and that is our business!   We do our utmost best to describe the asset as accurately as possible-if we know something to be wrong-we will put it in the listing-tell you about it and picture it if possible.  However, we are not perfect and may make some mistakes or miss something now and then but for the most part we're pretty accurate and on the money.
Generally assets that we liquidate do not have service records that come with them.  Most attorneys advise the clients to remove all of that information so they don't subject themselves to identity theft problems.  If we have service records we will state that in the listing and the owner's information will have been blocked out.
You are more than welcome to come and inspect, check out, or view the item for sale in person or have it inspected by an independent entity-just contact us anytime.

We must collect Florida Sales Tax and Tag/Title Fees if the asset is being registered in Florida unless you hold a valid current year reseller/dealer license.  Please see more in depth sales tax and registration information below.
We are great people and very easy to work with but we take business serious.  Just because you click "Buy it Now" does not mean you have bought yourself time to think about it, arrange financing, check with your spouse, get a friend's approval, etc.   When you commit to clicking that button we will expect payment within 3 business days unless prior arrangements have been made with us before hand.  We understand that it takes time to transfer monies, get approvals, receive insurance checks, wait for bank holds to be released,  and etc., however we cannot have assets tied up for extended periods of time in limbo because you did not take care of necessary arrangements prior to purchase.  If payment is not received in the allocated time then the asset will promptly be re-listed for sale.  We all know that nothing is truly ever sold unless it's paid for anyway so please understand that it's just business.

    4. AUTHENICATION: Gancos Enterprises, Inc. will authenticate, qualify and verify ALL bids that are submitted on this asset. Only those bids submitted by ready

    5. DECISION TIME: The time to evaluate, to determine and to decide is during the course of the auction or before you click on the "Buy It Now" button.   The conclusion of the auction is the time to pay. Being the high bidder or clicking "Buy it Now"  does not mean you have been awarded the opportunity to "think about it" or to "get back with us." It means that you have entered a binding agreement to purchase this asset immediately following the conclusion of the auction and that you have the funds to do so.  Payments are expected for the asset in 3 business days unless prior arrangements are made with us.

PREOWNED VEHICLE / MOTORCYCLE / RV / TRAILER / HD TRUCKS & EQUIP

    6. PREOWNED: Preowned motorcycles are not the same as new motorcycles. You are bidding on a preowned motorcycle and they are not perfect. Please do not expect perfection. Every effort has been made to deliver an accurate description, but it is possible to miss deficiencies.

    7. MILEAGE: Gancos Enterprises, Inc. is an asset liquidation firm and it is virtually impossible for us to certify that the mileage is correct on the vehicle that we list because the vehicle has not been in our possession since new. The mileage stated in our listing is the mileage shown on the odometer at the time the photo was taken. Federal Odometer law requires us to mark the title EXEMPT if the vehicle is 10-years or older, unless otherwise noted. Please utilize AutoCheck or Carfax if you so choose to check the recorded mileage on each vehicle. We won't be held liable for misnomers.

    AS IS - NO WARRANTY

    8. AS-IS: This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS with no warranty, expressed written or implied. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type.

8a. INSPECT BEFORE YOU ACCEPT: It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the asset,  INSPECT BEFORE YOU ACCEPT, to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid or buy based upon that judgment solely. We are not authorized to reimburse for any transportation, shipping, plane tickets or repairs.

8b. Remember some of these cars, motorcycles, RV's, trailers, and HD equipment are nearly a decade old and they may be new to you, but that doesn't change the fact that they are used assets and repairs may be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned it.  While we try to service any known defects it is still possible for used vehicles, cycles, rv's, trailers, etc. to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. NOT likely, but possible! Please note, we cannot and do not guarantee the operation of electronic items such as cruise control, radios, TV, VCR, CD, DVD players nor navigation.

8c. Since vehicles, motorcycles, RV's and trailers are USED, please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, CD cartridges, etc..., do not always remain with the asset throughout their life. We will not be responsible for these minor accessories.  If we have them it will be stated in the listing.  These items are all replaceable at any local factory dealer or right here on eBay for a few dollars.

    TERMS:

    9. SALES TAX: FL residents are responsible for applicable FL sales tax/title/tag/registration fees. Buyers outside of FL are responsible for FL sales tax IF they are taking delivery inside of Florida.   Most states have sales tax reciprocal agreements with Florida. For your convenience when legally permitted we will provide a 30-day Florida temporary tag if desired.  Florida State law permits automobile dealerships up to 30-days to transfer titles. Our title clerks must wait until the check clears our bank before mailing out any title which can be up to 10 days.

Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for vehicle to be titled and registered. If the vehicle is shipped to you a by carrier then we do not collect any sales tax. However, if the car is picked up and driven on Florida roads, as a licensed dealer, we are required by law to collect the sales tax percentage designated for your State (we do not collect for every State). The only States that do not have a reciprocal agreement with Florida (where you will be double taxed) are Arkansas and Mississippi.

If you are a licensed dealer purchasing from us then you know we will need a copy of your current dealer license and sales tax resale certificate which can be easily faxed or emailed to us.

    10. ENDING AUCTION EARLY: In the event that the asset featured in this auction is purchased prior to this auction's scheduled ending date and time, Gancos Enterprises, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any bids and end the auction early. Additionally, each and every asset is offered for sale and advertised locally using various means such as, but not limited to, Craigslist, Auto/Cycle/RV/Equipment Trader, Edmunds, Cars.com, and several periodicals--so we do reserve the right to cancel any auction or end it early if the item sells.

A conversation with GM's Mark Reuss on MPG, aluminum and Corvettes

Wed, Feb 19 2014

There was plenty to talk about when General Motors hosted its annual mid-December holiday media reception a few months ago. GM had just decided to pull its global Chevrolet brand out of major European markets, where Chevys have competed directly with GM Europe Opel and Vauxhall vehicles, and the US government had sold its last remaining shares of GM stock. But most important was the company's just-reshuffled leadership. Post-bankruptcy CEO Dan Akerson had announced that he would step aside and that 52-year-old Mary Barra would replace him on January 15. Not only would she be the first woman to lead a major automaker, she would also be GM's first engineer CEO since Bob Stempel in the early 1990s. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors" - Mark Reuss Replacing her as executive VP for global product development (and purchasing and supply chain) would be 49-year-old Mark Reuss, who had served a stellar four years as North American president, and elevated to corporate president (from executive VP and CFO) would be 42-year-old Dan Amman. All three are relatively young auto enthusiasts who are liked and respected inside and outside the company, and their collective talents and experience are highly complementary. I've interviewed Barra and found her smart, personable and knowledgeable, though she carefully walks the corporate line in speaking and answering questions. I met and chatted with Ammann for the first time at that holiday reception, and he made a good first impression. But I've known Reuss for some time as a genuinely good guy and a highly capable and inspiring leader, and I believe he is exactly the right person for the global product responsibility once famously held by the outspoken, oft-controversial Bob Lutz. So I jumped at an opportunity to join a group interview of Reuss (with mostly business reporters) at the Detroit Auto Show in January. It was an interesting session of mostly good questions, which he answered with refreshing candor and humor. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors," Reuss said. "We've taken down almost every plant in North America, converted and turned it this last year, and to do that with award-winning vehicles and pretty flawless launches is key. We have to keep the train rolling on great product, because the rest won't happen without the best product, period." A reporter asked whether GM was pushing big trucks, SUVs and Corvettes again because gas is cheap. "No," Reuss said.

Foreign automakers pay from $38 to $65 per hour to non-union workers

Sun, Mar 29 2015

As leaders for the United Auto Workers gather in Detroit for their Special Convention on Collective Bargaining to work out the negotiating stance for this year's new labor agreements with the Detroit 3 automakers, what they most want to do is figure out how to eliminate the two-tier wage scale. However, the lower Tier 2 wage has allowed the domestic automakers to reduce their labor costs, hire more workers, and compete better with their import competition. As it stands, per-hour labor rates including benefits are $58 at General Motors, $57 at Ford, and $48 at Fiat-Chrysler – a reflection of FCA's much greater number of Tier 2 workers. The Center for Automotive Research released a study of labor rates (including benefits) that put numbers to what the imports pay: Mercedes-Benz pays the most, at an average of $65 per hour, Volkswagen pays the least, at $38 per hour, and BMW is just a hair above that at $39 per hour. Among the Detroit competitors, Honda workers earn an average of $49 per hour, at Toyota it's $48 per hour, Nissan is $42 per hour, and Hyundai-Kia pays $41 per hour. The lower import wages are aided by their greater use of temporary workers compared to the domestics. Automotive News says the ten-dollar gap between those foreign camakers and the domestics turns out to about an extra $250 per car in labor, which adds up quickly when you're pumping out many millions of cars. That $250-per-car number is one that, come negotiating time, the Detroit 3 will want to reduce, as the UAW is trying to raise both Tier 1 and Tier 2 wages. Another wrinkle is that the domestic carmakers are considering the wide adoption of a third wage level lower than Tier 2. Some workers who do minor tasks like assembling parts trays kits and battery packs already make less than Tier 2, but the UAW will be quite wary about cementing yet another wage scale at the bottom of the system while it's trying to fight a bigger battle at the top. Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.
