HAS EXTRA LONG RAMPS THAT STORE IN RACKS ON THE TRUCK. MOTOR BELIEVED TO BE A 409. BLOCK NUMBER ON BACK OF MOTOR IS EITHER: 3857656- 1965 409 MOTOR 3857655- 348 TRUCK MOTOR *CANNOT MAKE OUT THE LAST NUMBER. EVERYTHING POINTS TO A 409-THE MOTOR HAS THE DIPSTICK ON PASSENGER SIDE, AND DIPSTICK GOES INTO OIL PAN, NOT THE BLOCK. THERE IS AN X STAMPED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT OF THE MOTOR. MOTOR IS NOT ORIGINAL TO THE TRUCK. TRUCK HAS FOUR (4) SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH GRANNY LOW GEAR TRUCK APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN BUILT AS A RACE CAR TRAILER AS IT INCLUDES TIRE RACK. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
