Incredibly clean 1969 Chevrolet C-10 Half-Ton pickup:

High optioned truck with Small Block V8, Power Steering, A/C, and Power Brakes. This truck was built in California and sold new at a local Los Angeles Dealership. This is a true Southern California Matching Numbers, Rust Free Vehicle.

Very well cared for and garage kept all it's life. This truck starts up on half a turn from dead cold without touching the gas peddle. She runs excellent without overheating on the hottest of days, drives straight down the road with plenty of power, stops quickly and handles excellent. Shifts through all gears tightly and has a solid firm suspension. All electrical works as it should including the 4 turn signal lights, headlights, wipers, brake lights, reverse lights etc. Speedometer is functional and accurate as is the fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge.

This beautiful Chevy Pickup has a straight body all the way around including hood and roof. Finished in a two-tone quality paint job that is really gorgeous and gets tons of compliments every time I take her out. The Green has a very slight metallic quality and really pops against the White Cab-Top and chrome accents around the truck. All molding and trim pieces are all there as well as all four original hubcaps. Four Brand New Radial Tires on original rims.

Interior is all there and very clean. Black leather bench seat is firm, comfortable and free of any rips or tares. The dash pad is perfect and crack-free. The cab's interior is painted in the same body color and is stunning!! The ceiling is perfect. There is a huge bonus for the lucky winner of this auction.... There is an extremely high-end stereo installed in this pickup. Alpine receiver/CD/MP3 player backed by 2 amplifier systems mounted under the seat. Two quality door speakers and a thumping Bass Tube located on the back side of the bench. Hundreds of dollars spent on this High Quality system and it sounds incredible!

This is a great 1969 Chevy Truck! Easy to drive with power steering and power brakes. Classic solid truck that continues to go up in value. My reserve is ridiculously low for this truck. This is not a frame-off restored truck but rather a well priced, clean and solid California driver that will get attention wherever she goes. It's not perfect with some very minor imperfections here or there but you are hard pressed to spot them out. The A/C is missing the compressor but this is an original factory A/C vehicle so very easy to get her blowing cold again. The only other two items in need of attention are the horn and temp gauge. Everything else works as new and is in top shape. The undercarriage is bone dry and solid.

This pickup has a Clean California Title and is currently registered. BID WITH CONFIDENCE! This is a GOOD ONE!!!

Below is NADA GUIDE CLASSIC CAR VALUE for this truck:

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

2016 Chevy Volt powertrain technical details

Wed, Feb 11 2015

The last time General Motors launched a Chevy Volt, it was operating without really knowing how people would use the plug-in hybrid. Sure, it had experience with the EV1, but the Volt was a new kind of car, and you can see in the archives just how much time GM spent explaining this fresh, new powertrain to potential customers. Then, once the vehicle was released, the company collected voluntary data from a large number of owners to learn about their driving and charging habits. The company also asked them what they wanted most in the new version. There's got to be an algorithm buried somewhere in GM headquarters that was used to take all of the numbers GM collected and spat out the headline figures for the 2016 Volt: 50 miles of EV range and 41 miles per gallon. Another important number – price – is something GM isn't talking about yet (expect it in April or May), but the company is sharing some powertrain details about the upcoming car. At a preview lunch in Detroit last week for the SAE 2015 Hybrid & Electric Vehicles Technologies Symposium that's happening now in California, GM engineers Peter Savagian (who is presenting a paper on the new inverter used in the updated Volt) and Tim Grewe (talking about the entire second-generation powertrain) sat down with AutoblogGreen to tell us about the Volt's all-new propulsion system: The overall gist is that the new Voltec 5ET50 drive unit is lighter, smaller and more powerful thanks to a redesigned two-motor traction drive. As previously reported, the new engine is a 1.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder that offers 101-horsepower (at 5,600 RPM). Grewe said it's "great for range extension." The electric motor side of the powertrain offers 149 motoring horsepower from a two-motor, continuously variable transaxle. Initially, the new engine will be made in Mexico. GM will move production to Flint, MI during the first year it makes the 2016 Volt. The battery is slightly bigger in the new Volt – 18.4 kWh compared to 16.5 in the current-gen – and will have less range variation in the cold. GM is also using more of the overall capacity in the pack in the 2016 Volt than in previous versions, but is not saying how much more. GM is not ready to publish acceleration times just yet, but the 2016 Volt has improved numbers, especially when going from 30-60 miles per hour. Most everything on the new powertrain has become more efficient compared to the first-gen Volt.
