--YOU ARE BIDDING ON A RARE 1967 BUICK LESABRE CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE IN GREAT SHAPE! THIS IS AN ALMOST RUST FREE SOLID FIND. IT HAS A 340-4-BARREL AUTOMATIC-3SPEED. IT IS THE ORIGINAL 340, HOWEVER IT HAS A MODIFIED INTAKE TO CHAGE IT TO A 4BARREL CARB AS WELL AS AIR CLEANER. IT HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE! NO ACCIDENTS. ENGINE RUNS AND DRIVES AS GOOD AS NEW! THE FLOORS ARE ALL SOLID AS WELL AS THE FRAME HAS NO RUST ISSUES AT ALL.THE UNDER-SIDE LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE SIDES. THE ONLY RUST I COULD FIND WAS SOME SURFACE RUST ON THE REAR BUT OTHERWISE IS SOLID, TRUNK, DOORS, DOOR-JAMS EVERYTHING! THE PAINT HAS FADING AND HAS SOME SMALL SCRATHES AND COULD USE A NEW PAINT JOB. THIS IS A 2-OWNER ORIGINAL CAR WHICH HAS HELPED WITH HOW GOOD OF SHAPE IT IS IN. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY AN ARIZONA CAR WHERE IT WAS BARELY DRIVEN WITH ONLY 93K DOCUMENTED MILES. IT WAS AN ESTATE SALE FROM THE FAMILY SO I KNOW IT WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF.

--THIS 1967 BUCK LESABRE CONVERTIBLE HAS A BRAND NEW TOP, FRAME-CONSTRUCTION, AND WINDOW, WITH REMOVABLE WINDOW. THE MOTOR AND PUMP HAVE ALL BEEN REPLACED AS WELL. THE TOP ALONE WAS 3,000 AND IS ALL AUTOMATIC.ALL WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE FINE, CHROMING AROUIND THE WINDOWS AND HEADER IS IN GOOD SHAPE AS WELL. THE FRONT SEAT WAS RECOVERED WITH THE OEM STYLE AND SPRINGS REPLACED ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO. IT HAS THE RARE BUICK MAG WHEELS ON IT THAT ARE ALSO RUST FREE WRAPPED IN GOOD TIRES. EXHAUST HAS BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED WITH OEM MUFFLER. EVERYTHING WORKS ON IT THAT I'VE TESTED. SPEEDO IS DEAD ON ALL DASH GUAGES ARE IN WORKING ORDER. THE DASHBOARD IS IN GREAT SHAPE NO CRACKS OR FADE AND IS ALL ORIGINAL BUT HE RADIO, WHICH I HAVE STILL AND WILL GO WITH THE CAR.

--I PUT A BRAND NEW DRIVE- SHAFT IN IT IN THE BEGINING OF THIS YEAR FOR A TOTAL OF 800.00 ALONE TO HELP SMOOTH OUT THE RIDE BECAUSE IT HAD THE ORIGINAL ONE IN IT YET. PICS SHOW IT. THE BACK SEAT DOES HAVE A FEW SMALL TEARS IN IT, NOTHING TO BAD. SEAT IS GOOD SHAPE. SEE PICS. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BOOT COVER AND SNAPS ARE ALL IN GOOD SHAPE, NO TEARS. ALL LIGHTS WORK.

--BRAND NEW FRONT BRAKES, SHOES, CYLINDERS AND BRAKE HOSES. ALL BRAKE LINES AND FUEL LINES UNDEARNEATH ARE ALMOST RUST FREE.

--I TOOK THIS CAR ON A TRIP OVER 400 MILES AND IT DROVE PERFECT,DOESN'T BURN OIL AND TRACKS STRAIGHT. IT HAS POWER BRAKES WITH DUEL RESERVES, POWER STEERING ALL WORKS GREAT AND HAS A 3-SPEED AUTOMATIC. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS YEAR OF THE BUICK LESABRE CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE THAT THERE WAS ONLY 2900 PRODUCED AND ABOUT 700 OF THEM WERE SHIPPED OVERSEAS SO FINDING THESE CARS IN THIS SHAPE IS GETTING HARDER. THE PAINT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL. IT HAS ONE RE-SPRAY I WAS TOLD AND IT COULD USE A NEW PAINT JOB WHICH I WAS TOLD WOULD BE EASY TO DO BECAUSE ALL OF THE BODY IS IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE. IT ALSO IS MISSING ONE SMALL TRIM PIECE FROM THE PASSENGER BOTTOM RAIL UNDERNEATH THE DOOR. OTHER THAN THAT IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT...I GET COMPLEMENTS ON IT ALL THE TIME NO MATTER WHERE I GO. THE CHROME IS ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE, BUMPERS ARE RUST FREE AND SHINY, GRILL AS WELL. IT HAS MANUAL WINDOWS AND LOCKS,NO A/C,  HOW IT WAS ORDERED NEW. IT WOULD BE A GREAT CAR TO DRIVE OR FOR A SERIOUS BUICK CONVERTIBLE LOVER...MOST OF THESE ARE RUSTED IN THE JUNK YARD AS IVE FOUND OR ARE 25,000. I PRICED THE RESERVE RESONABLE TO MOVE THE CAR AS I DO NO HAVRE THE GARAGE ROOM TO STORE IT ANYMORE AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMEONE ENJOY IT. AGAIN THIS CAR ISN'T IN SHOW QUARLITY BUT IS EASLY COULD BE EASILY WITH WORK. IT'S AMAZING HOW RUST FREE IT IS!

2013 Buick Verano Turbo

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

Not Luxury. Not Sport. Not Buick. Not Bad.
Those of you who still think of the Buick Verano as some sort of callously badge-engineered, gussied up version of the Chevrolet Cruze ("Why would anyone spend that much money on Buick's Cruze?" you may have been heard to mutter) have got the wrong idea. Entirely. Even in its most modest form, the Verano turns out to be a sedan that is feature-rich, insulated from wind and road noise in proper luxury car fashion, pretty good to drive and not bad to look at in the new school of high-nosed pedestrian-impact-regulated fashion. In a less modest form then, one that attaches the word "Turbo" to the moniker and plops a force-fed 2.0-liter four-cylinder under the hood, the Verano is downright interesting.
Of course, "interesting" is rarely a descriptor that fills one with lust - and so it goes with this example. There are two competing forces within this near-premium subcompact sedan, and the balance struck between them must resonate with any potential customer before the Verano Turbo can become a serious purchase consideration.

Buick Velite is a not-so-Volt-like plug-in hybrid concept for China

Mon, Nov 7 2016

Is the Buick Velite a Volt by any other name? That's a question worth asking after General Motors said that the Buick Velite concept vehicle will make its global debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month. GM says the car "will provide a template for upcoming models being launched under the Buick Blue new energy vehicle strategy." Whether that means the Velite is a variant of the second-generation of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in is open to interpretation. Some automotive publications, including Autoweek, are saying that's the case, but GM China doesn't mention the Volt in its press release, only saying that the car is a "high-performance" plug-in hybrid vehicle. As we know, GM doesn't use the "PHEV" descriptor for the Volt, which makes us thing the Velite's powertrain is more like the Cadillac CT6 PHEV. Either way, the concept was developed by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), which is a joint venture between GM and Shanghai-based SAIC. As far as the name, GM has been shopping the Velite moniker around for a while now. The automaker first used Buick Velite for the convertible concept vehicle it showed off at the 2004 New York Auto Show. More recently, GM in 2014 filed to use the name for the US variant of its Opel Cascada four-seat convertible model, which debuted in 2013. As for the second-generation version of the Volt, that model appears to be gaining favor in the US. Domestic sales of the Volt through October have surged 64 percent from a year earlier to more than 18,500 units. The new version boosted its all-electric range by 40 percent to 53 miles while increasing its power output by 20 percent. GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
Scroll down for the official NHTSA statement.
