Very nice 1977 VW bus camper Drives and runs well Mechanically sound overall* Newer paint in original color * New 3 window canvas tent top *newer tires (about 550 miles on them)* newer brakes The interior has a rear full bench seat instead of original 2/3 seat(still have original ) and has newer front wv bus seats with armrests Most cabinets were removed to allow more room, reduce weight and make easier use as a picnic/short stay camper I have some of the original cabinets and the stove and sink water tank Also have optional side step and bunk for over front passenger seats There is an oil leak which I have never gotten around 2 since its not too bad and I just check oil every season and it doesn't loose much This bus is very nice looks great but not a mint show vehicle It needs afew things to get it to show quality but it is a good driver and very functional Local pickup preferred or buyer to arrange all transportation issues Sold as is no warranties

Volkswagen to add 50k jobs by 2018
Thu, 04 Apr 2013Volkswagen still has its eyes set on becoming the top global automaker by 2018, and to get there, it's apparently going to need more boots on the ground. Automotive News Europe is reporting that VW is looking to increase its staff by 50,000 over the next five years - an increase of nine percent - which does not include an increase in its US dealer network.
According to the report, a majority of the growth will come from China where the automaker is also looking to double its production capacity in the same time frame. The Volkswagen Group is already expected to rival General Motors for the top sales spot in China this year, and such a rapid expansion in the region could make a good springboard for sales increases in other countries.
VW promises 7-seat CUV for America in 2016
Mon, 13 Jan 2014On the eve of the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn has confirmed the imminent arrival of a new crossover. The model, previewed at the same show last year by the CrossBlue concept pictured here, will be unique to the North American market when it arrives here in 2016. The new three-row, seven-seat crossover is part of an ambitious expansion plan on the part of Volkswagen and Audi in North America, where the two brands aim to sell a million vehicles by 2018.
That's a mighty big increase over the 600,000 vehicles which the Volkswagen Group sold here last year, but it's moving in the right direction: That number is already a 100-percent increase of what it sold here just five years ago. At that rate, VW should have little trouble meeting its goals, particularly with the arrival of the new crossover and the introduction of Golf production at its assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico.
