70' Vw Single Cab Truck, Freshly Rebuilt Motor, Fresh Paint, Interior, Braked on 2040-cars
Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
|
This SingleCab Truck has been in Hawaii for about 4 years, originally from California. When I first got to Hawaii, it was completely primered with no rust anywhere. I cleaned up the bodywork a little bit before I painted it about 4 years ago. I barely used truck, it was mostly for show, and I did have my company logos on it for advertising. Recently, I put a fresh motor in it, went thru all the electrical (everything works), undercoated and rustproofed, also undercoated treasure chest, removed gas tank, cleaned and reinstalled with new fuel lines and filter and just finished repainting lower half of truck after I Did some minor surface rust repair. I just did the rear brakes last week, fronts are fine. Upholstery on bench is about 4 years old, door panels are about 2 years old. It's got a nice am/fm cd from Kenwood with subwoofer under seat and amplifier. This truck runs great, I 'm only selling because I 've lost interest in it and am selling off my toys.

Who wants to pay a million dollars for a VW Beetle?
Mon, Jun 1 2015The Volkswagen Beetle was always envisioned as a cheap mode of transportation, but now one is being offered for over $1 million by a dealer in the company's home base of Wolfsburg, Germany. So just what makes this Beetle so special? It's not the first one made, and it's not the last one made – but it comes close: This particular example is an Ultima Edicion – one of the final Bugs made in Mexico before production ended even there in 2003. It's decked out in beige with a black fabric interior and none – repeat, none – of the bells and whistles. With less than 75 miles on the odometer, it offers one wealthy buyer the rare opportunity to get an original Beetle (not some modernized incarnation thereof) in factory-fresh condition, which no one has been able to do for over a dozen years now. Does that make it worth the million-euro ($1.1M) asking price? Not if you ask us, no. But then we wouldn't count ourselves among the most dedicated Beetle fanatics out there.
2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible gets the R-Line treatment
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Volkswagen just launched the topless Beetle Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but we're already seeing the next step forward in the topless Bug range with this, the R-Line. We'll admit, this treatment falls under the "all show and no go" category, but it's still a pretty potent little cutie.
The R-Line starts with a standard Beetle Turbo Convertible but adds unique 19-inch aluminum wheels on lower-profile tires, LED daytime running lamps and Xenon headlamps. Naturally, there are R-Line badges aplenty both on the interior and exterior, and we must say, the whole package looks pretty darn snazzy.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but when it goes on sale later this year, the hotter convertible will join Volkswagen's growing R-Line portfolio that now includes the CC, Beetle hatch, Tiguan and Touareg.
Tanner Foust drifts Rockstar Passat around US Cycling TT course
Fri, May 22 2015The USA Cycling Time Trials take place on Saturday in Chattanooga, TN. That's also where Volkswagen has its US headquarters. So in honor of the event, VW decided to have a little fun involving Tanner Foust and a 900-horsepower Rockstar Drift car. That's a 900-hp Passat, by the way. Pro cyclist Tim Johnson rides along with Foust, showing him the intricacies of the cycling TT course. But of course, with a 900-hp drift car at his disposal, Foust makes use of roundabouts and turnaround points to do what he does best. We won't spoil the rest of the short, minute-and-fifteen-second video posted above. But if you like smoky drifts from super-modified midsize sedans, this clip is for you.
