Hello and Thank You for Veiwing My Auction......I recently got a call from a Friend who asked me if I was interested in a Rare Find......He indicated his Buddy was clearing out his Parents Dry Storage and that there was a real Gem that I would be interested in.....Well he had My Attention....all he had to say was Gem and I was Hooked..LOL...anyway The Story goes as Follows......His parents Purcahsed this VW Bus....Brand New...had maintained it at the Local Dealership and has all the Dealership stamps in placed when service was performed..They decided to rent a Storage locker in 1995....and there it sat until he was put in charge of clearing the estate...I am an old Hot Rodder...I know nothing about VW 's let alone Vans....was Real surprise to find out how much they Bring Restored...From what I have gathered...This was the First year of the Automatic..has the Duel Carbs (solex 3234)...1600cc motor..I managed to change the plugs, Points and caps and wires, sprayed some starter Fluid and she fired right up......so the good news is it runs and all the brakes work...however it can not be driven..the gas tank needs to be cleaned and Carbs rebuilt..Overall it is a rust free Van...has a few little areas but is a solid Van worth the effort put forth to restore....This Van also has the Rare Sunroof option.....all glass is in excellent condition....my Vision was to make it a Calf. Beach Buggie.. Get a Surf Board Rack... and once restored have a $20,000 Van....anyway I would rather sell it to someone who knows and appreciates these old Vw's...it is as it came out of the factory.....the new owner will be the first to take it apart and it is all there..all lights work..even the Radio.....any questions call or text me at 804-869-9885....I do have it forsale locally so the auction may end at anytime....the reserve is set low so it should sell....if it does not sell..I will not relist it..I will restored it and sell it next spring for $20,000...anyway if you have Zero Feedback please call me before bidding...This is a serious auction for a real kool Van...I also would like to be paid the way I do business on Ebay that is next day full amount send a Cashier's Check once check has cleared I will next day the Title....thanks again and good luck with the Auction :)

Volkswagen, Bosch reach diesel settlement worth $1.6 billion
Wed, Feb 1 2017Volkswagen Group of America and automotive parts maker Bosch reached a settlement in which the two companies will pay a combined $1.6 billion because of their roles in the automaker's diesel-emissions scandal. VW, Europe's largest automaker, will pay about $1.2 billion to either repair or buy back vehicles. Bosch said separately that it will pay more than $300 million to owners of diesel-powered Volkswagens, Audis, and Porsches. The settlement stems from emissions issues related to about 78,000 VW-made cars and SUVs with 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines that were sold in North America. VW will recall and repair about 58,000 vehicles made for the 2013-through-2016 model years. The company will also buy back, offer a trade-in credit, or terminate the leases for about 20,000 cars for the model years 2009 through 2012. The older impacted models are the Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7, while the newer ones are the Touareg and Q7 as well as Audi's A6, A7, A8, A8L, and Q5 models, and finally the Porsche Cayenne Diesel. Previous reports estimated the payout at closer to $1 billion. The US settlement follows one reached last year between VW and US regulators in regards to VW's 2.0-liter diesel engines. That settlement was estimated to cost VW about $15 billion and impacted owners of about 500,000 vehicles. VW has had a stop-sale on its diesel vehicles in the US since late 2015 after it was discovered that VW installed software in its diesels that allowed those vehicles to cheat emissions-testing systems. VW on Wednesday also reiterated that it would contribute $225 million towards environmental-remediation efforts in the US. Volkswagen of America CEO Hinrich J. Woebcken, in Wednesday's statement, said that "we will continue to work to earn back the trust of all our stakeholders and thank our customers and dealers for their continued patience as this process moves forward."
