Up for auction is a 1973 Triumph TR-6 with a 4 speed non overdrive transmission. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. I'm not a mechanic or a dealer just a guy selling a very nice TR-6. Please take time to read the auction in it's entirety as much work and dollars have been spent. As well this is a verified true numbers matching car which makes the car very, very rare.

Heritage: This is a true numbers matching car and  I have a British Heritage Certificate proving it as such. The production date is Feb 19th 1973, commission number is CF 5725 U, engine number is CF 6061 UE,  body tag# 1  is T 5804 CF. The paint from the factory is Sapphire Blue If your looking at this auction you know how rare it is to find a certified numbers matching TR-6 and you can be assured with this certificate it will only go up in value ( see photo of the certificate ).

Mechanicals: The car has had much work done and dollars spent and she is ready for the open road. She runs and drives great. The following items have been done in the past six months.  New points, new plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, new coil, new fuel filter, oil changed, new front brakes, new front brake hoses, new thermostat, radiator serviced, new radiator cap & coolant, new fan belt, new tach cable, new front and rear springs, new front and rear shocks, new brake master cylinder, new brake servo, new clutch, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new throw out bearing, new pressure plate, a new all aluminum fly wheel and the transmission fluid was changed. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. The car starts right up with no smoke, ticks or shacking about. The car gets down the road very well, has very nice acceleration and has no issue with keeping up with the current interstate speeds. The steering is tight and the car handles / feels great on the road. With the new shocks / springs and the new Dunlop tires she handles like new.

Electrical's:  Many hours and dollars where spent on going through this area and here is what is working at this time: headlights ( high & low beam ), wipers, front & rear turn signals, front & rear running lights, brake lights, backup lights, license plate lights, interior courtesy light, dash gauge lights and the radio ( new ). The only thing I have not gotten around to is the horn.

Interior:   Is in like new condition as seen in the photos. The interior was replaced over the winter and included: new seats     ( covers - foam - springs ), new dash top, new dash defrost vents, new dash face, new dash knob set, new lower crash pads ( left side - center - right side ), new door panels, new door handles, new window winders, new door seals, new kick panels, new under dash kidney panels, new rear cockpit panels, new wheel arch panels, new transmission tunnel  and a complete high end carpet kit. The interior is just like new! New stereo and speakers as well.

Gauges: The car has all correct "Smith" gauges and all appear to be in proper working order at this time.

Exterior: The car looks nice and the body panels are laser straight with no dings or dents. The front apron, rear apron, rocker panels and dog legs look fantastic. The paint shines nice and is smooth to the touch with no gritty feel. The paint is what I would call "driver" quality as it does has a few flaws and blemishes but does look nice for a driver. I just painted the wheels, wheel centers, installed new TR-6 wheel center decals and she has new chrome trims rings on the wheels. The tires are all matching new high end Dunlop  radials. The cars sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of the dreaded  TR-6  " Squatting" issues.

Underbody: This area looks very good given the cars age. The floor pans look to have replaced in the recent past. Inner and outer sills / rockers look to be rust free. Underbody and floor pan photos are available upon request.

Trunk: The truck is rock solid ( see photos )and comes with a spare tire.

Extra Photos: I have some 50 extra photos available showing more detail of the shocks / springs, all exterior body panels and the underbody. Please just email if you wish to see them.

Buy It Now: The car is priced well below it's true value and while I'm open to offers please don't waste your time with silly low ball offers ( we all know what the car is worth ). The offers would need to be above the starting price or current bid price on the car. Please understand that I will only use E-bays prescribed methods to close the auction so don't ask me to do other wise.

Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try  Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes (  http://www.schumachercargo.com/  ).  Please have funds available at auctions end.

In Closing: The above description is my observations and opinions and they very from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. Again. not an expert just what I know and see so please ask any and all questions you might have.

I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photos I have available please ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age I'm selling her as mileage exempt and as is. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end ( no exceptions ).

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
