SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY.

For sale is my excellent, well cared for TR6. It has stayed indoors since I bought the car 2 years ago and has only been driven on dry, sunny days. The growth of my family means I have less time to spend on this great little car.

To summarize the vehicle: 
  • History: Registered in Dec 1971, I bought the car from the second owner who purchased it from the first owner whilst in Hawaii. I have some of the original documentation to go along with the car for those interested in finding out about its history. 
  • Overall, the TR6 is a smooth drivable car with no significant rust (only slight surface rust on underside), mechanically strong (starts from cold, no problem) and excellent paint (see pictures). 
  • The four speed non-overdrive gearbox shifts seamlessly. 
  • Passed its NY State Inspection with no problem - only required new tires which I did and these have less than 100 miles on them. 
  • Car come with original wires rims (worth more than $1k alone). 
  • There is no radio, though it seems the necessary connections are in place
  • Comes with all the parts/workbooks which I haven't had time to install (5 qts of Valvoline VR1 oil for an oil change, moss motors gaskets for master and slave cylinder, conversion kit for spin oil adaptor and several workshop manuals)
Things to note:
  • The dashboard requires some attention as it has cracked over time (see picture)
  • Lucas electrics on TR6's are often a sore point. However, this car has the essential electrics (wipers, lights, blinkers) all operating as expected. 
  • The ventilation system runs but sounds like there is an obstruction in the vent - I have yet to get round to fixing it
  • The mileage is quoted at 16,000 as per the odometer but I think it likely to be understated
With all this being said, I don't think this car wouldn't take much to get to concours condition.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
