All service work is up to date. Within the last couple days I had the vehicle inspected by an ASE certified repair facility. The repair facility that I take all my vehicles to, has been working on vehicles for over 32 years and I feel they are the best in this town. They are extremely good and all my vehicles go to them for the inspection and reconditioning. They are of course ASE certified and they can do anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines. We serviced this vehicle, and its ready to go!They have inspected it and told me the vehicle runs and drives well. Theyve looked it over and took it for a test drive. The engine and transmission did not have any mechanical issues. They also checked the fluid level, replaced the oil and filter, topped off the fluids, and checked the condition of the transmission, it was full and clean. The brakes were fine also; it has a clean bill of health and has been fully serviced, inspected and certified for you. This 2008 Saturn Vue XR AWD runs and drives very well! The Mechanic drove this vehicle for around 35 miles or so to make sure it was working great. He assured me that this vehicle has been taken extremely well care of and it shows, inside and out! It drives like new and looks that way too. Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
