Also, some noticeable scratches on the car's roof, rear passenger-side paneling, and back bumper (see pictures). Minor other scratches also exist around the car's exterior.The wheels are metal, and are showing their age. The finish is worn off in spots. A close-up picture is attached of one wheel, but the other 3 look similar. The tires have roughly 25,000 miles on them. However, one tire has a slow leak that will need to be sealed.Inside the cabin, the ceiling liner is loose in the back, and tends to droop down. We have been fixing this with sewing pins.Miscellaneous: The reverse lights, the horn, the windshield washer fluid pump, and the back 2 power-windows do not work. The front 2 power-windows and the rest of the lights work fine. The tint on the back windows and rear windshield that was installed after-market is loosening (see pictures). Owned by one family. My father was the original purchaser when the car was new. He eventually sold it to me when I was in college, and I later sold it to my then girlfriend and current wife. We are now selling the car because we just purchased a new vehicle, and no longer need this one. It has been maintained quite well over the last 14 years.
The car does have signs of use (mainly cosmetic), but it still gets from Point A to Point B consistently. An ideal car for a high-school or college student, or just another vehicle to get around town. It gets outstanding gas mileage (close to 27 mpg city), and is fun to drive because of it's manual transmission.
Other Notes and Facts: The car had a CD player and fog lights installed after-market. Those both work great! Tint was also installed after-market, but as you can see from the pictures, the tint is loosening in spots. The back bumper, the driver-side rear-view mirror, and the rear driver-side vent window have all been replaced at various points over the last 14 years. The car comes with a cigarette lighter/car charger port, but the owners have all been non-smokers, so the car is odor free. Within the past year, the car's Coolant Temperature Sensor and the front brake pads have been replaced. The air conditioning and heat work great! Needing Attention: The mechanic says that the EGR Valve will soon need to be replaced or cleaned, and the one tire with a slow leak will also need to be mended.

Report: GM temporarily restarts Saturn Outlook, Hummer H3 production

Even though both the Saturn and Hummer brands are being phased out, General Motors has reportedly revived production of both the Outlook crossover and H3 SUV to meet consumer demands.
Last month, GM assembled 1,037 Outlooks at its Lansing, Michigan facility, which is where the crossover's Lamda platform stablemates (Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia) are built. A spokesperson for GM states that production was reinstated to utilize the rest of the Saturn-specific material at the facility, and that the automaker will continue to assemble the Outlook for a few more weeks.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
