I know people who have owned Saturn . . . they are great cars . . .200k + miles . . . no problem. . . . and service is no worry since it can be serviced at ANY GM dealer. . . the NADA price is almost $13,000 (due mostly to extremely low mileage) . . . .estate executor said sell it. . .we are starting bid at $2,500 NO reserve . . .it sells no matter what . . . . This Aura might be the only one in the WORLD with such low miles . . .it was ALWAYS garaged (look at lenses covering headlights, they are CRYSTAL clear, showing NO sun exposure) . . . ABSOLUTELY NO RUST - GARAGE KEPT SINCE NEW . . .we just purchased this car from an estate in Ossining, NY . . .it was purchased at Saturn of White Plains. . . . .it was owned and driven by an elderly woman . . . . who was the original owner . . . . . . . NEVER smoked in (lighter and ashtray unused) . . . naturally there are the usual small dings, scrapes and flaws. . .but overall VERY minor. . . . spare tire never used. . . .as you can see from the photos the paint is and the interior is beautiful. . . . it features a gas saver 4-cylinder engine, automatic transmission a/c (blows ice cold) - power steering - power brakes - power seat - multi-airbags - tilt wheel - rear trunk cargo net - am-fm-cd with XM Sirius Radio and it has ON-STAR. . . we have the owners book and manual - the only thing it will need id two hubcaps. . .before the family took the car away from her she scraped a curb and damaged both hubcaps on passenger side. . .I looked on eBay they can be purchased for as little as $10 each (authentic, factory caps , not look-alikes). . . . GM nixes fleet-only Chevy Captiva Sport
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Well, guys, it looks like Saturn is finally dead in the United States once and for all. According to Automotive News, Chevrolet has discontinued production of its fleet-only Captiva Sport - a rebadged Saturn Vue - after three years on the market. The very last US-spec Captiva Sport was built in Mexico in August. GM will still produce the vehicle for sale in the Mexican market, as well as for export.
GM initially offered the Captiva Sport for rental fleets as a way to free up capacity for the sightly larger Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers, which, according to AN, had been in short supply. The Captiva Sport also did a nice job protecting the resale values of its other similar-sized CUVs because they didn't have to play in the fleet market. But with Chevrolet preparing to launch its subcompact Trax CUV in the US, the automaker will soon have a clear, three-tier crossover lineup without the Captiva Sport. The Trax fills out the bottom end, followed by the Equinox and the seven-passenger Traverse.
For now, renters seeking a taste of 'Classic GM' will have to whet their appetites with the fullsize Impala Limited.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia
Thu, 09 Feb 2012General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.
