This auction is for a 1971 Porsche 914, rolling chassis/body with clear title. It is a rust-free body shell. There are also two rebuildable motors, three transaxles plus the original parts from this car. The transaxles are complete. I think one is a tailshift and two side shift. There is a set of alloys with fairly new Eagles, two starters, three door glasses, five back glasses, extra lower front control arms, two starters, two targa tops w/latches, new lock cylinder with keys, two engine hoods, two bumpers. There is not enough picture space to photo all. Most of the cosmetic chrome has scratches and most of the weatherstrips are the original. There is also some new weatherstrips. Some of these parts aren't worth using. The motors may have compression and run, however they are being sold as rebuildable blocks. The transaxles I think are fine but are being sold as is. There are many parts not shown clearly in the photos. The body was sandblasted and primed some time ago. There is some slight surface rust only. Jack mount stiffeners have already been installed as well as the battery tray is new. There are five door panels, three seats and extra headlight and wiper motors. Three sets of pedals as well. I bought two cars from a friend. I am keeping one and selling this one. It would make a good rally car . There is a clear N.C. title. It is taking space in my garage that I don't have.=========No Reserve============

Porsche Macan caught completely uncovered
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Porsche is preparing to launch its sub-Cayenne CUV, with a suspected debut at the 2013 Los Angeles International Auto Show, which means we're right about at the point where undisguised models start scampering around the cities and towns of Germany. Our spy photographers snagged just such a model, with only the headlights and taillights concealed by camouflage (no, those comically large lamps aren't a production item).
The undisguised car looks like a tiny Cayenne. Not really surprising, we know, but it's impressive to see how the Cayenne's styling works with the smaller proportions of the Macan. It looks squat, athletic and poised, like it's a small, "sporty" crossover we'd actually want to drive. Both the Macan and the Macan Turbo are shown, with the more powerful model sporting a set of quad exhausts.
The only big questions now concern the shape of the lights and the interior. From the photos, we can see a rough outline of the headlights, although the taillights are more difficult to discern. The interior remains a mystery.
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S named Motor Trend Best Driver's Car [w/video]
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.
Porsche announces works team for United Sportscar Championship
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Porsche is undoubtedly the most successful manufacturer in sportscar racing, and it's only upping its game. The German marque is launching its new LMP1 racer for Le Mans in pursuit of overall victory once again, and now that sportscar racing in North America is coming together under one banner in the United Sportscar Championship, Porsche has announced it is entering the fray with a works team here as well.
The new Porsche North America racing team will field two cars in the entire inaugural season of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship that's been formed out of the former Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series. The team will be based out of the Porsche Motorsport North America facility in Santa Ana, California, and will partner with three-time ALMS LMPC winners Core Autosport in getting a pair of the latest 911 RSR racecars to the front of the GT Le Mans class.
Drivers have yet to be announced, but are projected to be drawn out of Porsche's factory driver program, which includes such talents as Patrick Long, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani. Keep reading below for the official announcement.
