Up for sale is my 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
The car has 92k original miles and runs flawless! It has the LS1 V8 engine with 4L60E automatic transmission with Traction Control System and Limited Slip Differential. Top end is super fresh with less than 20k on it and the transmission is brand new with full 2 year warranty on parts and labor, just installed two days ago with new torque converter corvette gearing and shift kit.
Super powerful and smooth. Extremely reliable. There are zero mechanical issues with this car, no running issues no dash lights coming on. Blows super cold A/C and extremely hot heater. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.
Car comes with Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power driver's seat, power lumber seats on both sides, cruise control, remote keyless entry, T-tops with interior covers, and a very nice aftermarket Pioneer stereo system.
The interior is near mint with very mild signs of leather wear on driver's seat, no cracks in the dash no tears anywhere, super clean.
Has new tires all around and new brakes. New Battery and new hood and trunk struts.
Engine runs perfect and is also super clean, always maintained with full synthetic oil and just had a tune up.
The body is in excellent condition and the only issues are in the front bumper, there are spider cracks in the paint and one "chunk" missing on the left (seen in the pics). If the bumper were repainted and chunk repaired this car would be near flawless.
This car was a CHP theft recovery and comes with a salvage title, it is NOT salvaged due to an accident. Kelley Blue Book on this car is 10,462 not accounting for the brand new transmission. I have taken into consideration the salvage title when I priced this listing so please be honest with your offers this car is well worth it , and these are getting harder to find.
Paperwork is in hand and ready to transfer, all DMV fees are current and it just passed Smog last week with flying colors. This car is priced to sell and sell fast. I will entertain any reasonable offer. I am currently asking 8200.00 OBO.
Shipping and handling along with transportation of the car is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
