1988 PONTIAC Trans-Am GTA  Firebird (rare optioned!)
Happy Fathers Day NO RESERVE!!!!!!!!

Absolutely meticulously Kept in the garage last 10 years 1st 2 owners were family, and were the 3rd!  perfect history!!

In 1988 This vehicle was purchased by the screen writer of the original television show Gun Smoke (see bill of sale name)
The car was Purchased in Los Angeles, Calif. @ Stan Chazen Pontiac

Car is optioned with HIGHLY desired options such as A/C, Theft deterrent system (lock and key on the shifter), Electronic Assembly information center and gauge lay out, Limited slip differential.  ( all equip. see window sticker pic)

This car shows the proof on how long it has been stored with a tire receipt from years back and yet the same tires are on the car and absolutely perfect!!!
(see receipt)

The amazing paint job on this car looks 9.5 out of 10 with a small half dollar sized chip on the chin splitter from a curb stop. Had it professional appraised for a fix and 250 dollars takes care of it with without disspointment. There is ZERO discoloration, fading, scratches, dullness ANYWHERE!!!!

Pictures show the real deal and though its a driver for certain, one could easily show the car and do quite well I'm sure.

Because I live in Oregon, we do not have smog requirements on a car this old.  If it is a concern for where you live, I can and WILL put the brand new smog pump in the vehicle and I guarantee the car to pass.  The old one was making some noise and I'm very meticulous as you can clearly see by the pictures.

For sure to sell for substantially less than its true value for a quick sell making a new owner one happy individual.

THIS CAR LIKE MANY OTHERS OUT THERE HAS ONLY BEEN ON THE WEST COAST ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND ZERO RUST!!!!!

Make no mistake you will be happy with this one everything works Fantastic!
The headlights = perfect
All electrical A/c, gauges, trunk, blinkers, lights, all of it = perfect
Engine (cold start, idle, full pull,) = perfect
Transmission = perfect
power seats, spare tire and wheel, wipers, power antennae = perfect

The only small flaw anywhere on this car is the struts on the rear hatch need to be replaced (42.00 dollars) and the small paint fix (half dollar size chip) on the chin splitter.  Any descent paint outfit can match the paint perfect and redo the small are for 250.00 as my appraisal came in. The seat belt pretensioners work but they show wear retracting the belts tightly. This assessment is accurate and complete :)

I have every receipt, manual, window sticker, hang tag at the dealer, etc. etc. that comes along with on the sale.

SO if your looking for an amazing Hotrod for WELL under 10k you just WILL NOT find anything better than this one. Car drives out amazing, turns heads everywhere, and with its PERFECT history and records confirming you've found it.

I can ship the car anywhere in the world and I have very good resources in assisting to getting it directly to your doorstep.
I'm helping family out on this one and you can see with my PERFECT feedback there simply is no risk of this car being anything than what I have stated.

Please ONLY call if your ready to move on her. I will not trade for anything except Ben Franklin 's :) Once there's a bid no need to call cause the high bidder wins.
TRUE EBAY AUCTION WITH NO GAMES!!!!!!!

Thanks for looking, good luck and we'll talk soon

'67 Chevy Corvair convertible vs. '86 Pontiac Fiero in cult classic showdown

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

Every few a decades, the folks running General Motors lose their minds briefly try to market a car that public doesn't see coming and often aren't ready for. In the '60s there was the rear-engine, air-cooled Chevrolet Corvair, then the mid-engine Pontiac Fiero in the '80s and the completely bizarre Chevy SSR in the 2000s. What all of these had in common was that they bucked the trend for American models of their era, for better or worse. The latest episode of Generation Gap tasked the hosts with finding two cult classic vehicles to choose between; they came come up with two of these quirky products from The General.
On the classic side, there's a 1967 Chevy Corvair Monza convertible. Being from later in the production run, it wears slightly more aerodynamic styling than the earlier, boxier examples. Hanging out back is an air-cooled, 2.7-liter flat-six pumping out a robust 95 horsepower. In the other corner is the somewhat more modern 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a mid-mounted, 2.5-liter "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, an engine nearly ubiquitous in GM cars of the '80s.
Judging by when they were new, the Corvair was far more successful than the Fiero with over 1.8 million sold. Of course, Ralph Nader's book Unsafe at Any Speed kind of poisoned the well, even if the poor safety reputation wasn't entirely deserved. The Fiero on the other hand only lasted for a few model years before shuffling off, but it eventually got its own performance boost with the V6 version and rather attractive GT models. Check them both out in the video and tell us in Comments which you want in your garage.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
