SUMMERTIME STEAL!!!

1979 Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am.  This is a true 10th Anniversary Trans Am.  Only 7,500 10th Anniversary Editions were produced. It as the highly desirable WS6 Suspension.

This is a very solid driver. The car runs and drives very good.  I recently got back from a 300 mile road trip with no problems.

This T/A is a real head turner.  It has several scratches and the paint is peeling around some of the trim pieces.  It is an older paint job that shows its wear.  There is some minor surface rust at the drip edges of the hood and trunk.  Drivers side rear quarter has a small rust bubble. New tires, this car is ready to roll!

New interior carpet.  The interior is in good shape.  There are a few imperfections and one crack in the dash that is 2" long.   The carpet on the drivers door has a small tear in it you can see in the picture.  All gauges(including the clock) work. Power windows work.  Power locks need work. The sun visors need some cleaning or replace with new for very little cost.  The car is air conditioned, however it is missing the compressor.  You won't miss it though, take the T-tops out and let the wind blow through your hair!  There are no rips or tears in the seats.  An Alpine stereo is in the car but needs the housing fixed to be operable.  I do not know if the odometer is showing the true milage, if I had to guess I believe it is correct.

This does appear to be a true numbers matching car, however I have not taken the time to search out the numbers on the motor to verify.

Contact me if you would like additional pictures or have any questions.

I have priced this car to sell.  The reserve is set under $10K, don't miss out.  I reserve the right to end this auction early as it is being advertised locally.

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
