More details at: orvalowwishart@ukpc.net . 1967 Pontiac GTO this is a true suvivor with all its original sheet metal as well as the Parchment interior. PHS documented. Even though it had a repaint in 2001 with the factory Tyrol Blue; the door and trunk jambs still have the original paint. All the numbers are clearly visable on the fenders and quaters. This is a numbers matching car, it came with a 400ci engine with 670 heads with new hardened valve seats, bronze valve guides and stainless steel valves. Other up grades included Rodney Red aluminum radiator, pertronix electronic module in factory distributor, 068 HO cam and HO manifolds. I have the original cam lifters and manifolds. 4spd Muncie transmission and 355 limited slip posi traction rearend. equiped with Hurst shifter, walnut GTO shift knob,Ralley guage package, ralley 1 wheels, new red ring tires, bucket seats and console. Also added was power steering, rear sway bar, Flow master exhuast, suspension was completly reworked as well as all the brakes.This TRUELY IS, AN AMAZING RUNNING, DRIVING AND LOOKING CAR.

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:

Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?

Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
