One owner, non-smoker car. This is the GXP model with the 415 hp/415 tq LS3, Brembo brakes, forged aluminum polished 19" wheels, and more free flowing exhaust. The car has not been modified in any way. It is in perfect condition except for a minor dent on the passenger fender. This car is truly in excellent condition. The oil and filter have been changed every 3000 miles (Always Mobil 1 full synthetic) on the dot with receipts to prove it. All work done at dealership with the exception of a few oil changes; these were performed on my lift, and also have receipts proving the use of Mobil 1 and WIX filters. This car was my baby but really want to downsize to a two door. This is an automatic car (6 speed) and it has the optional sunroof; it also has the LS3 V8 (non active fuel management) found in the Corvette and Camaro. Included with the car is an extra set of factory GXP wheels and 8000 mile Bridgestone Potenza (stock type) tires-I paid $2000 for the wheels. The tires on the car now have about 35% life remaining, and are also the Potenzas. The dent mentioned earlier happened about two years ago, but was so insignificant I decided a body shop might do more harm than good. I tried to include a picture but its hard to tell- its near the top of the passenger fender. Anyone looking for a GXP model- look no further, this car is one of the best. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
