This is my personal Car from my collection I am in a personal transition and selling a few of my blue chip
investment cars.
This is a VERY RARE Muscle car there are few that can say they have seen a REAL 400 4 speed HO Convertible ..
let alone have one
They made 91 of the 400 Ho 4 Speed convertibles, of them 4 were Trans Am Convertibles ( that sell for 3-5 Million
in this condition if they are availible)
the 87 400 HO cars left ( none TA) were seen as a sleeper from the factory and these cars were NOT Promoted and
even discouraged. Over the last 25 years I have found 17 of them from rust buckets to Prestine ( one in Fla is
WOW nice)
The only NUMBERS Matching car like mine I have seen sell is a Green on Green one in January 2010 that sold for
76,000 at BJ Scottsdale and lets be honest Green on Green not my flavor.
This car is a 1 of 1 Car
Why you ask
well other than the color combo which is rare!
This car is Drag Pak Car It has the Special Order 3.90 Rear end factory order with Tilt Steering. Both I have
confirmed with PHS are not normal on a 400HO
It is Power roof Car
Power steering
the interior is ORIGINAL
The engine has NEVER been out of the car .
The only thing not right on the engine is the water pump that was removed in 94 as it was leaking ( its in the
trunk)
Car has ALL The Ram Air parts in the trunk BRAND NEW. The same way the Ram Air cars were dleivered car was to the
dealers in 1969.
This car has NEVER left BC Canada .. I have known this car for a LONG time!
Sold new in 1969 to Ross He sold it to his sister in 1992, then after years of asking I got the car I have
owned her for many years and have ONLY 473 miles on it I start the car every 2 weeks .. I have the original
rims on the car I have removed the foose legends and sold them . the car is and was a Sleeper from the factory.
This car was a Special FACTORY ORDER car, I have talked to the man that ordered it new. It was so well optioned
with go fast items it was insane expensive and MSRP was OVER that of the 2 69 Trans Am Convertibles that also sold
in Vancouver BC
If you want a car you can NEVER replace this may be the one. Again Fly here and inspect the car you will be
glad you did .
Numbers
of the approx 87000 Firebirds built in 69
Approx 11000 were convertibles (1 in 8)
of the firebirds only 87 were 400 HO 4 speeds Firebirds
and 4 were Trans Am Convertible 4 speeds all Ram air
You see this is beyond rare
If this was a COPO Camaro BB 4 speed Convertible it would be $280,000 plus Firebirds are coming up in value and
this is one of the best they ever made.

Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season
Thu, Dec 9 2021Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Junkyard Gem: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
Sun, Nov 28 2021John DeLorean began his career working on Packard's Ultramatic Twin transmission, but he made his greatest mark on the automotive industry during his 1956-1969 tenure at GM's Pontiac Division. There, he helped develop the first production car engine with a quiet timing belt instead of a noisy chain, among other engineering feats, but his real fame came from the development of two money-printing models based more on marketing than machinery: the GTO and the Grand Prix. While the GTO gets all the attention now, the Grand Prix set the standard for the big-selling personal luxury coupes that sold like mad for decades to come. Today's Junkyard Gem is an example of the most powerful Grand Prix available at the turn of the century, found in a Denver-area self-service yard during the summer. The Grand Prix got front-wheel-drive for 1988 and a sedan version for 1990, but then something very beneficial happened in the 1997 model year: supercharging! Various flavors of the venerable 3.8-liter Buick V6 engine (itself based on the early-1960s Buick 215 V8 and thus cousin to the Rover V8) received Eaton blowers, starting in the 1992 model year. The Grand Prix didn't get its introduction to forced induction until the 1997 model year, but it kept the boosted option until the final Grand Prix rolled off the line in 2008 (the final Pontiac followed within a couple of years). This one made 240 horsepower, making it King of Grand Prix engines until the 2005 model year (when the GXP and its 303-horse V8 engine showed up). The very last year for a Grand Prix with a manual transmission was 1993 (there had been a three-pedal Grand Prix drought from 1973 through 1988, just to put things in perspective), so this car has the mandatory four-speed automatic. The Grand Prix lived on GM's W platform for its last two decades, making it sibling to the Impala, Regal, and Intrigue in 2001. Until the 2004 model year, every W-Body Grand Prix was built at Fairfax Assembly in Kansas City (no, the other Kansas City). Production of the final generation of Grand Prix took place in Ontario. It seems fitting that this car's final pre-crusher parking spot would be between two other GM products of the same era: a Monte Carlo and a Vibe.
