Pristine 2004 Mercedes SLK32 AMG 349HP with 19.5k miles. There are only 52, 2004 SLK in existence (3 went to Germany) and the other 49 came to the U.S. making this a VERY rare production car to own "see attached production numbers".

This SLK32 lived its entire life in FL until April of 2013 when I purchased it "I'm the second owner". This SLK was always garaged and sat under a car cover when not in use. Everything works perfectly, no dings, no dents, no scratches, new tires, tinted windows, car cover, all options, no accidents, no scratches on the center console area or doors handles, SLK must be seen to be appreciated. Please, no low ball offers, I will not respond. I also I have a clean MA title in hand as well for an easy transaction.

Kelly Blue book Private Party Value of $26,204.00 and a trade in value of $23,434.00. As you all know, market value and what your willing to pay for the car determine the worth in any buyers mind. With only 48 2004's out there besides mine, these wont be coming available to often, so I don't mind holding onto it.

This is not our daily driver, only on beautiful summer days. I'm only considering selling this SLK32 because I would like a 4 seat convertible to take the entire family out, otherwise I don't need to sell it and it can remain in my garage. Serious buyers only please... I can be reached direct at (6 1 7) 6 5 0 - 5 0 2 0 -  Thank you Tim

Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship. Let us know what you think of the CLA racer down in the comments. In the meantime, we've got a full gallery of live images up top, along with the stock images that were posted last week on the Mercedes-Benz Facebook page.

France formally moves to ban Mercedes vehicles using contested refrigerant

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

That didn't take long. Shortly after a French administrative court gave the French government a ten-day window to reconsider its ban on registrations of Mercedes-Benz A-, B- and CLA-Class cars using the prohibited R134a refrigerant, the government cited an EU directive to formalize banning the sale of the cars. The country's environmental ministry said that registrations "will remain forbidden in France as long as the company does not to conform to European regulations," meaning so long as they do not use the approved R1234yf refrigerant.
Daimler had won the administrative court decision by challenging France's application of a "safeguard" provision in which the EU allows a country to block sales of cars that would "seriously harm the environment." In spite of Daimler's victory, France has cited that very provision as basis for the continuation of the ban.
Daimler got permission from Germany's KBA federal motor authority to keep selling cars with the coolant banned by EU politicians, and is using that national permission as the right to sell the cars throughout Europe. Meanwhile, above that battle, German politicians are asking the EU to let Mercedes sell the cars in France while the KBA does more testing, at the same time as the EU is threatening Germany with repercussions if it doesn't bring the KBA and Daimler into line.

Firing of M-B boss upheld

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
