I've owned this Mercedes for 20+ years and am the second owner. It was in an accident in October of 2011 and has been sitting in my garage. I had planned to fix it because I really didn't want to part with it. But, just don't have the time and need the storage space in the garage. I hate to part with it but need to now. It runs and starts right up. Will need a battery. It comes with hard top and soft top. The soft top does needs new plastic windows. I've replaced them before and they need replacing again. The Hancook tires only had about 5000 miles on them when it was in the accident. The rims are in great shape. It's rust free and always well maintained. The drivers side leather seat has some rips in it, but can be repaired or covered. Otherwise the dash and interior are in good shape. It's completely repairable for the right person or body shop. I have many parts for the car and will include those with purchase. I had years of fun in this vehicle. It's a great classic car and was so fun to drive. I'm going to miss it. Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
