1987 560sl Convertible Roadster Deep Blue Paint With Grey Interior. No Reserve! on 2040-cars
Overland Park, Kansas, United States
This is a beautiful car in the rear Mercedes Deep Blue Color. Only two family owners, who loved and took great care of this fun coupe. The car is in good condition for the number of miles is has been driven. We have included pictures to show the cosmetic flaws and spots where there is some rust starting. In an effort to provide full disclosure, the hood has small chips in the paint due to normal road wear and there are some dings on the driver's door. There is some rust under the passenger's door, around the antennae opening, rear bumper driver's side and a small paint touchup above the rear tire driver's side. The car runs very well, I just drove it from Denver CO to Kansas City KS. Included with the car is a Mercedes Benz car cover, a lift kit to remove the hard top and maintenance records. The hard top and soft tops are in very good shape. This car belongs to my wife's father who got the car from his father. There was one owner before him. Pickup and delivery will be buyer's responsibility. Call or email for buy it now offer.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)

Firing of M-B boss upheld
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
