2003 Mercedes-benz S430 4matic Sedan 4-door 4.3l on 2040-cars
Duluth, Georgia, United States
Up for sale is a 2003 Mercedes S430 4Matic. Over the years just about everything you could possibly do to this card to keep it like new has been done. I have owned it for two years and before that it was owned by someone who drove it from Albany New York to Tallahassee Florida at least once a month and sometimes further. It is always used Royal Purple oil 0-W40, it has always been garage kept, and always been well taken care of. The interior of the car looks almost new as does the outside. It has brand-new tires, new fuel pump, new front and rear brakes and rotors, a new air-conditioning system, new K&N air filters, new spark plugs (all 16 of them) and wires, and many other parts that I'm sure I'm overlooking. There are no oil or transmission leaks, it drives and shiftsd like it should, the AC blows cold and the heat works. SRS light is on due to a childseat in the backseat, can be cleared at any shop and the winshield wiper fluid resivor has a crack in it so the cleaner fluid drips out. This car will tell you everything it needs from oil to hugs, you'll never be guessing whats going on with it because it tells you. The garage in the background is where it spends everynight and I rarely drive it in the rain. If you want to great car that gets a lot of compliments and is going to last a long time because it's built like a tank, this is the car for you. It has navigation, the six disc CD player, and all the bells and whistles you could want for the year model. You can buy one of these anywhere right now, but you never know what you're getting from a dealer. If you buy mine you get a little bit more peace of mind. It has 270,000 miles on it but drives better than a car with 30,000 miles on it due to the maintenance. I bought it with 252,000 miles and was thinking the same thing you are, but I never regretted it. You really have to come see for yourself in the car will speak for itself. I paid $8,000 for this car and I will not make a dime on it, but I'd rather not spend money on a car insurance for a car we do not use.

Russia gives its Olympic medalists new Mercedes
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Russian medalists at the recently concluded Sochi Winter Olympics are being rewarded quite handsomely for their service to the Motherland. In addition to the $120,000 being handed out for each gold medal, the $76,000 being awarded for slivers and $52,000 given to bronze winners, now word has come out that each of Russia's medalists will be gifted a new Mercedes-Benz.
As with the prize amounts, the type of Mercedes offered was based on what sort of medal was won. Gold medalists got a new GL-Class, silver medalists were given an ML and bronze medalists were treated to a GLK. As prices for Mercedes are higher in Russia, the cheapest model, the GLK, was the equivalent of $59,500, according to The Moscow Times. The cars were handed out by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, pictured above with figure skating medalist Julia Lipnitskaia.
"I was a bit shocked at the car I was given," Anton Shipulin, a member of the gold-medal biathlon relay team, told RIA-Novosti. "Of course I knew what kind of model it would be, but I didn't totally believe it." For athletes not old enough to drive, like 15-year-old Lipnitskaia, their Mercedes will come complete with a driver.
Chris Harris and David Coulthard wring out a Mercedes Fintail at the N"urburgring
Thu, 17 Oct 2013If there's one thing we've learned from the latest video from Drive, it's that the combination of Chris Harris and David Coulthard will produce some very quotable moments. Take this exchange, for example.
DC: "We are by some way the slowest."
CH: "But we're in a class of three cars, apparently."
Mercedes-Benz releases US-spec 2014 Sprinter details
Mon, 06 May 2013Last week, Mercedes-Benz released the details for the updated 2013 Sprinter intended for global markets, but this week it has announced what changes are being made to the US-spec version of the van for the 2014 model year, including the Freightliner model. As expected, most of the changes made to the European model will be present on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter when it goes on sale in the US, which is expected to be this fall.
The biggest difference between the Sprinter announced last week and the one headed to our shores is what is found under the hood. While European Sprinters will come with diesel engines and offer the availability of a supercharged four-cylinder gasoline or CNG engine, US Sprinters will still offer the 3.0-liter V6 BlueTEC diesel. This year's Sprinter now comes standard with a new base engine, the 2.1-liter four-cylinder BlueTEC diesel. This smaller engine will produce 161 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, and will be paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission; the optional 3.0 V6 puts out 188 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, and will be mated to a six-speed auto.
Fuel economy for the new Sprinter has not been announced, but Mercedes-Benz has made numerous changes with the goal of improving efficiency. To this end you'll find a new, low-friction rear axle and the optimization for the generator, fuel pump and power steering pump.
