Greer, South Carolina, United States

2008 Mercedes Benz GL450 Luxury SUV
Priced to sell (just slightly more than what we have been offered by a dealer as trade)
Clear title in hand!

Loaded GL450 (Not GL350 or GL550) with EVERY factory option. No accidents EVER and has always been garaged. Works and drives like new. This is the best car we have ever owned, but our 4th child is on the way and we are moving on to a van.

The car has 117k miles and the mileage is mostly on-highway. The tires are new, less than 5,000 miles and show no wear. All maintenance has been done by a certified Mercedes mechanic with the exception of a few oil changes. The car was inspected recently and needs no repairs and has no signs of future issues.

VERY IMPORTANT!: All four corners of the air suspension have recently been replaced on this car with Arnott air-struts and air-springs which offer a lifetime warranty. If you are in the market for a GL450, or any other Mercedes with an air suspension, you need to make sure this has been done. The original Mercedes air suspension will start to leak after about 75k miles and it is VERY expensive ($3,500-$4,000) to replace.

This GL has the P2 option package and more. It includes all the standard features and the following options:
-Keyless entry and start
-Bluetooth
-Free Lifetime Satellite Radio
-Navigation, Parktronic
-Power Memory Seats
-Memory Power Steering Wheel
-Back Up Camera
-Climate Control/Rear Compartment
-3 Zone Climate Control
-Headlamp Washing System
-Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Active Control
-Cornering Lights
-Chrome Package
-GL550 AMG Skid Plates
-Power Liftgate
-4Matic All-Wheel Drive
-Panoramic Roof
-MUCH much more. Too many options to list.

IF YOU EMAIL ME you need to include your phone number in the email and I will call you back. Due to the large amount of scam/spam emails I will only communicate via phone. Sorry for the hassle.  I am not interested in trades other than a 2011+ Honda Odyssey EXL or Touring.  I may end the listing early, but I will not take any offers lower than my reserve.

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.

2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.

Mercedes releases 6x6 G63 AMG specs and pics [w/video]

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

Mercedes-Benz has finally dropped full details on its insane G63 AMG 6x6. The machine puts 544 horsepower to all six wheels thanks to a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. A seven-speed gearbox shuttles power to the ground via three sets of portal axles, which helps give this machine a full 15.75 inches of ground clearance. By comparison, the standard G63 AMG sits with just 8.27 inches of ground clearance. The extra lift allows this 6x6 to ford nearly 40 inches of water and run massive 37-inch tires. All told, there are five differential locks on this thing, all controlled by a special "locking logic" that provides the best traction possible for any given situation.
The controls offer up three stages of locking, which we can only assume range from JKLOL to OMGWTF. Right now, AMG says this monstrosity is only a show vehicle, but we imagine it wouldn't take much to convince the team to whip up one of your very own. Check out our full gallery and the press release below for all the nitty gritty. While you're down there, you can also check out the video on the machine one more time.
